Might be opening myself up to plastic fan abus...I mean banter......but where are the best pubs/bars to go to before and after a game (travelling over for the Bournemouth game)? I've not been in a few years and things may have changed (used to go to the Moon), so any advice on good football pubs would be great.

Thanks.

Before the game and depending on what side of town you come in on. The Combermere Arms, The Lych Gates, The George Wallace, The Posada, The Billy Wright are all Wolves pubs.

After the game The Great Western, The Lych Gates, The Builders Arms ( Which has the finest Indian pub food on the planet), you will also find some brewers stalls around St Peters Square and gardens due to the Christmas market. If you are peckish and a miser ( Bargain Hunter) get a bottle of wine and a four pack from a supermarket and have Tapas at Maxims with it.

If you are a Carling/Fosters/Stronbow drinker, please ignore the above and settle for shite with the rest of the scutters

Brilliant, thanks. We're staying in a hotel next to West Park so will have a wander past the ground on the way in. All 3 of those beverages are non-starters, I'm a bit of a craft beer snob in recent years.

Thanks again Rozza.

Anyone use The Clarendon right outside the brewery? Usually quite lively in there and Banks's from across the road dirt cheap.

The one thing I would say, is that since Wolves have risen to the next level, every pub in the Town centre is ram-a-lam-a-ding-dong before the match, and still busy after the match. The price of Wolves success is a healthier liver, which is better than borderline alcoholism under Morgan & Moxey.

Anyone had a sup in the artist formerly known as Slaters, in Queen Square, now re-opened as The Parisienne? Do I ned to sport my ass-less leather strides to gain entry?
