Well after that inspiring International break we welcome Aston Villa in what should be a higher tempo local derby.

If we take our chances we win, if we dont have our share of luck on the day who knows.

Likely Villa team.

Tough one to call, especially being a local derby.

Villa are top of the form table with 4 wins and 2 draws in the last 6, scoring 10, conceding just 1.

Wolves have 4 wins, 1 draw, and 1 defeat in the last 6, scoring 12, but conceding 7, althought Sheff Utd game skews that a bit.

http://footstats.co.uk/index.cfm?task=formguide

A lot depends on how focussed our players are, following the international break, and whether Nuno has worked on our defending of set pieces, and balls in to the box.

If we're prepared, and get our noses in front, I'll go 2-1 Wolves.

I will travel in huge anticipation and expectation.

I am concentrating on how our fast flowing style will turn and spin and befuddle the slow Villa defence (especially JT), NOT on how vulnerable we might be to corners.... (especially JT).

Think POSITIVE boys & girls!!!

I reckon we'll concede early, pretty much dominate thereafter without creating many clear cut chances, then concede late on against the run of play

Just got a bad feeling about this one - one of those days when we're out done by the old school vastly experienced manager

Bruce is a very shrewd tactical manager and will set Villa up NOT to lose. He will be happy to stifle Neves, and Saiss and stop Jota and co from getting the ball, along with trying to stop our wing backs from pushing up.
Nuno will try and set Wolves up to play free flowing attacking football, if Wolves score early ( first 10 mins) it could be a Wolves victory by 3 goals, the longer it goes at 0-0, the more I will worry Villa might snatch it.

I can't wait for this one, Villa's results may have improved but the performances still aren't that great from what I've heard

Having not seen Wolves play this season,I'm really looking forward to this one.
I have had conflicting reports from people that attend matches, but it will be good
to see for myself.
I can't predict a score,but a win would be good,with a nice entertaining game even more so.

High time we started winning against in-form sides at the top end.

Yep, an early season acid test, and one we need to pass, if promotion is to become more than a possibility...

Some impressed,some not so much.
Some think the defence needs to be addressed.
All agree its different to what we have been used to.

Just had a look at two Villa forums, and it appears most Villa fans are predicting a Villa win 2-1.
They appear convinced that they will win rather easily and are dismissive of our imports from Portugal.
I just hope we thrash 'em

I know a few Villains at our Joe's footy, and they've been quite restrained in their opinions. I just hope our lads are fresh, and raring to go. A nice early goal, then let's play them like a grand piano.

This is what you get when you live on cloud cuckoo land. Realistically, they're rather ONE DIMENSIONAL. (Knocker must've said that as I don't really know what it means).

The battle of the manager's styles, as interesting as the tussle of the players on the pitch.

I don't get the negative vibes!!

And all this 'experienced Championship manager' nonsense. These are the very same fans who when Steve Bruice was touted as Wolves manager a few managers ago shouted 'NO WAY' and sent all sorts of insults his way.

Either we think he is a good manager or we don't. Can't have it both ways.

I hope we start bright, fast and confident. We could give all the 'old lags' in the Villa team a right run around....

Getting excited already!! This is the NEW Wolves!!!

I think both teams will cancel each other out and go 0-0. I hope Villa come and try to play football rather than a high tempo, "English Game" though tbf.

I'm looking forward to the challenge myself, but I haven't seen or heard of any knocks or injuries picked up over the International Break and I'm guessing Coady should be back or, did he get a two game suspension?

I am no longer frightened of the big boys albeit, I am more nervous about the Banana Skin clubs about which, I thought that Burton would be one. We have a consistent style of play now, sometimes such as against Cardiff and Sheffield United away, our style gets thwarted, but Nuno ain't no fool and will have worked on how to make us better when our style gets thwarted.

If I was in Bruce's shoes, facing Jota, Cav. Costa, etc. supported by a midfield that some Premier Clubs would be proud to own, what other style can he adopt except a blocking game and hoping to catch us on the break or get one of ours sent off.

We won't know the result until it is over, but no reason at all not to go into this game with a positive mindset and come Saturday, 'shit on the Villa tonight'.

Great results tonight, for us!

Bristol City could have overtaken us - but are held at home by the might of Burton Alibion (remember them?), and
Cardiff could have extended their lead, but are beaten at Brum (and hey - all you who only want Brum, Villa and Baggies to be relegated, start thinking of US for a change! And Brum re still only 2 points above drop zone....)

We just need our old mate MM to do us a favour at Sheff Utd, and beat the Villa ourselves, and a perfect weekend!

Can't wait for tomorrow, too many people see the name Villa and instantly think we are inferior, if we lose it's only because we don't play to our potential as I feel we have a far better squad. They have some good individuals but don't often play as a team whilst I think we have gelled quite well, I've seen them a few times this season and if we turn up we should get a result.

The championship is a really shit division where anyone can beat anyone and if we have any aspirations for promotion then this will be a good litmus test.

Haven't seen much of the game, but you spoke too soon - perhaps; 5 minutes added.

Looking forward to this one lads. Could go either way. I like that I don't have to get WolvesTV with it being on beinsports2 here in Aus.

Looks like everyone is at the match - no one here to celebrate a great fking goal - just as well there was a net in the way, else someone in row f would have lost a tooth or 3 - Don't know what we can get Jota for, but what is he worth even now on the open market!
