Only two points to guarantee our status in the Prem. So who do we see coming in and going out.

Will it be another transfer window with shocks or will we be disappointed, or worse, horrified at the departures?

Come on you Wolves!

As long as we have Nuno backed by Jeff, no worries

Our squad looks like it would be capable enough in the prem. Personally i hope he doesnt go too barmy.

The guys who have got us promoted deserve their chance.

Wouldn't hold your breath for this. My guess is they will spend 50+ Million this transfer window.

We signed loads last summer and it transformed the team, I think we need to sign loads again this summer as our squad isn't that deep, a lot are only on loan and need to be made permanent as well.

We can't allow sentiment to hold us back as it previously has done

It isn’t the number of players or the number of millions that will be important, but the QUALITY and whether they fit Nuno’s style of play AND have the character & work ethic he demands!

I suspect few qualify.

How many ‘foreign’ almost ‘unknown’ players work as hard as Cavaleiro or Bonatini or N’Diaye, never mind the ‘stars’ Neves & Jota??

We don’t want proms donnas or workhorses - we want thoroughbreds who LOBE their work!

Fuck it, I say we go barmy, we only have one life. Those who are good enough will get their opportunity, the others will move on. No time for sentiment, different ball game now.

What route do you hope Wolves go, the Man City route where you upgrade wherever possible.

The Spurs route where you look to buy top quality to supplement the home grown.

The Bournemouth route of trying to develop the squad that got you promoted

Given the funds we should have available to us, I'd say it's a mixture of Spurs and Man City. Continue to bring in players the quality of Neves, Boly and Jota, but further develop Compton a bit like the Ethiad complex, and get Molineux fully re-developed starting with the Steve Bull. I'm guessing that after next season they should be looking to get at least the lower tier ready for the following season.

Edit: I hope that the likes MGW and Conor Ronan still have an opportunity to be part of the team.

£50m+ might just be 2 players...

Which positions should we strengthen or bring in quality backup for?

I think our midfield seriously suffers when Neves is out and he does get carded a lot. I think a good allround midfielder is a must. Maybe a new defender in alongside Boly to backup our defence and challenge for a starting spot? Obviously a bloody good striker is a must.

It would also not surprise me if Fosun insist on the signing of one of the best chinese footballers in the world and a couple of young chinese lads for the under 21's. Something to increase the awareness of their club in China.

Does Mendez manage any of the top Chinese players?

Are there any top chinese players who would fit right in our squad?

I think we need another quality defender. Bennett and Batth won’t be good enough, I’m afraid. Need one or two more wingbacks. Would like one with a bit more pace than Douglass or Doherty. Something different to offer. I think we can upgrade on a CM next to Neves. Saiss would be a solid backup. And a center forward. I feel comfortable with Costa, Cav and Jota but not so much with Afobe and Bonatini.

Think it's safe to say Batth will be going along with Miranda and Graham. I wouldn't mind keeping Bennett but think he'd be more of a back up. Not sure on the loan signings, will we spend money on signing them or just go out and buy better ??
Pretty confident we'll be spending decent money on new players and I'm sure they'll either be players we've not heard of or ones we wouldn't ever have thought would be at Wolves...

its not sentiment, its rewarding players who have gotten us there, doesn't say a lot about team spirit etc if we just fuck players off because it suddenly suits us.

i still think that most of what we have are more than capable, plus the major clear out last time coincided with a new manager, it wont this time so for me its unnecessary.

That didn't work out too well last time, we have been rewarding players for years who should have been upgraded on.

This is a conversation for another time though, lets just enjoy this squad who have been far too good for anyone else in this league, except Sunderland who we still need to beat to complete the set :D

it is true that we have gone too far the 1 way and fucked it up (Dave Jones telling most of the squad we wont be needing their services and the subsequent debacle) and Mick buying players who are decent (Milijas and so on) and still playing the old guard instead.

a bit of balance is needed this time. for me a lot of this squad is good enough, based on for me at least, the majority have been bought for the premier league rather than the championship anyway.

we will see what happens of course but the squad we have is capable of a mid table finish. It depends on how quickly we want to move on from there.

The priority should be getting Boly signed up. It's a very different summer if we don't get him permanently

Hi warn...its possibly laughable.
But so is where we are now from 1,2,3 season ago.
So why not.

Read that we'e in for Jack Wilshire. Would take him if he can stay fit.

I think plenty will make the step up, really target quality in the few areas that need strengthening. Someone like Bennett is great as a squad player, he will come in and do a job. Coady and Doherty who knows, some times players can move up a level seamlessly. Some folks criticise Ruddy but he has done well enough at that level to get called up by England and he has made the EFL team of the year.

That's a big if though. And I would bet he'll be overvalued in the market. I think we can find a similarly talented and skilled player for cheaper abroad.

Overpriced for sure. Hasn't looked half the keeper since his injury. We don't know our budget but to spend that much on a keeper, I think the money is better spent elsewhere.

Yes, leave the keeper position for the time being, let's ensure we sign Boly up permanently and hopefully keep Neves.
