A return to league action against that very white British team called Burnley a kind of throw back team of decades ago.

Very much built like Cardiff with higher quality players who will cause Wolves problems though physicality and the ball in the air.

Forecast for this one.

Wolves 2 Burnley 1.

Sherpa Van Trophy Final in 1988 with over 80,000 fans attending, marvellous day out. Two fine traditional old clubs with rich histories. This will be a very hard game now that Burnley are out of the Europa League and can concentrate on improving their league position.

Marriner the ref and Atwell the fourth official - two Villa fans, allegedly. Not a good sign.

Atwell, you just want to slap him across the face, he's too weedy for a right hander.

It's going to be a tough game, Burnley will try and hit us with set pieces putting balls in to the box for Wood and/or Vokes to attack. I want to see an improvement from Boly in defending these situations.

I'll take an awkward 3 points and a first home win, whichever way it comes, but I do think it will be a game that Jiminez will thrive in.

Nuno might as well save himself the fine and watch the whole game from the stands.

Burnley haven't been awarded a penalty in something like 50 games... what odds that changes Sunday?

He has reffed 3 of our Prem games in the past and sent off 2 of our players, did we complain about him at one point and ask that he not officiate another of our games?

We need 3 points and I ain't too fussed how we get them to be honest. I think this game will be harder than it looks on paper. I will take a one goal victory without hesitation.

A "direct", they are better than hoof, Burnley... will be tough. However, like us, I doubt they will change their style, so counter-attack options will appear. Trick is, can we score from the opportunities ?

I wrote to the body that decides upon the appointments and pointed out the issue of a man from Birmingham refereeing Wolves, irrespective of whether he claims to support Liverpool or something. I received a reply assuring me that my comments would be passed on appropriately and after that he was never appointed again.

I am not sure why he is again being given Wolves games, but then again the fact that Attwell is still let anywhere near the top flight tells you everything.

Burnley have really got off to a poor start, sometimes things just catch up to you and gravity brings you down to your natural level. Can see us win by a few goals.

Whats the basis for fines against the coach on the touchline?

Should coaches refrain from getting emotional, how do you control human nature and should you

If the coach swears do they employ a translator to pick up on his every word.

Strange law trying to inhibit a bloke trying to do his job.

It is insane. The thing to stamp on is disrespect to opposition or officials, but simply getting excited & emotional should be ENCOURAGED, not stamped on!

Burnley haven't won inside 90 minutes for ten games and haven't had a penalty for over 50 games. It all sounds a bit ominous to me with Marriner in charge.

Burnley are a decent test in that they are a better version of the kind of side we struggled against at times last season, big, physical and direct, but if a side containing Miranda in defence can knock them out of the Europa League we should be beating them, having former player Vokes and former target Wood up front worries me though as well as the officials inevitable bias.

What odds on Nuno being sent to the stands?

They have also had a much needed break. Another tough game ahead.

Pre match it does look a game that could be anything, an easy win, score draw or a lesson given to us.
Fascinating game, one to be enjoyed, certainly not one you would bet on.

Agree. The international break was just right for them. Ignore the first games; they have had the distraction of Europe.

Dyche is a great motivator, but so is Nuno. Dyche is a great tactician, but so is Nuno. Dyche is a great communicator, but so is Nuno.

And our players are simply better than theirs.

I expect a win, albeit a tough one (unless we have some gross misfortune!)

Great to win and see us creating so much but our finishing is woeful! So frustrating!

Well, we made hard work of that for ourselves. Very, very wasteful in front of goal in the end leading to a couple of unnecessary bookings. Great to see the old guard, Doc and Coady looking so comfortable in the Premiership. Thought Boly had a good game too, he reminds me of Bobby Moore sometimes with his composure. In the end, three well deserved points. Onwards and Upwards.

Smashing performance all round. Easily the better team. Our creative play was extravagantly supreme. Our finishing was the only blemish. Could and should have won by at least four goals clear. I am a very proud Wolves fan.

Dominated the whole game, a great performance just lacking in taking those chances. We looked composed, comfortable and sprayed the ball about so well. A one nil hammering..!! Proud of them.

A joy to watch the approach play but we need that clinical finisher.

Nothing. Absolutely nothing. The performance has made an old man very happy. And about 30,000 others. :D
