Yep, agree 100%. I preferred the old one so much more than the new one.

They look like good seats, top tier, front row, and end row seats in the middle section, would be perfect.

Not Dougan and Holsgrove as they were members of the "tea club" and were joined by others from time to time such as wunderkeeper Boswell who apparently couldn't remember the punchlines of jokes he used to tell. I went to school with a kid like that and the joke endings he could remember just weren't funny.

Let's see how good my memory is:

Back row L to R: Jefferson, Dougan, Parkes, Pierce, McAlle and Kindon

Middle row L to R: Parkin, Daley, Taylor, Munro, Palmer, Richards and Sammy Chung

Front row L to R: Sunderland, Powell, Bailey, Bill McGarry, McCalliog, Wagstaffe and Hibbitt.

Some quality there, pity the manager couldn't add real quality to develop the full potential.

Good enough to have won a lot more than 1 league cup in 1974.
McGarry's fault?
The players fault?
Or a combination of both?

I'm still looking for the Bastard that flicked his No.6 nubend into my feather cut and set fire to it behind the goal in the North Bank.

You could have asked him to piss on it, as toilet decorum didn't exist on the terraces, back then.

The Bastard would've needed an Elephant trunk to have pissed on me from where he flicked his nubend as I was behind the goal. Thank God we didn't score at that moment as 10 bog rolls on me head and I would've been doing a Joan of Ark at the stake.

I can imagine folk, pissing themsleves laughing, as they tuned in to Star Soccer, on a Sunday afternoon, to see the St John's mob running after a young bloke with his hair on fire, as Hugh Johns says "Fuck me, his hair's on fire!"

"Tight board, and a manager afraid to rock the boat."

Sounds familiar. It's in our DNA.

Fuckin ell Embers, every time I see his face my blood boils, and then I think of the people who defended him for over a decade whilst Norwich took just 6 months to suss cock out, vexes me to no end.

Shoots of a recovery poking through now though with them clueless foreigners in charge, I can actually see what Nuno is trying to do on the pitch, fucking foreigners and their tactical football, it's like a bag being lifted from ones head after being kidnapped by Albanian people smugglers, and Nuno looks as scary as Liam Neeson

Only yesterday, I commented to Embers that I still raise a smile when I realise these bellends are no longer with us. Morgans arrival coincided with a decent few years, but very quickly he lost his bottle, and improvements to the football side of the business were very much bottom of the agenda, as they exercised a weak, non creative, short term, no risk strategy which strangled the life out of the club and its "customer base".

The revolution has begun...

...and hopefully we can have t-shirts of Che's mug, replaced with Nuno's.

I think that's a few years earlier than 1960, mate. I'd say it's 1950.

Actually yeah, we won the FA Cup in 1949.

I stand corrected.

Bit of a clue that Billy retired in 1959 too... And look at shin pads and boots... Definitely more 1950 than 1960!

And where are the 6 subs, the 3 coaches, the fitness guru, the psychologist, the lifestyle coach...???

How DID they cope with 11 blokes and a manager??

Having a go at identifying the players in the picture:

Back row L to R: Pritchard, Crook, Williams, Shorthouse and Springthorpe.

Front row L to R: Hancocks, Smyth, Cullis ( manager), Wright, Pye, Dunn and Mullen.

Correct me if you see any errors.
