Have always used TV and moving games as a reason NOT to want to go into Prem, but if we keep being shifted this often, we might as well be in Prem as in Champs!!

Well at least the consolation is with the TV money we can afford new players.

Our Chinese supporters will love it almost as much as our Bulgarian ones will.

Unless I'm mistaken, the Hull fixture isn't televised.

Sorry yes misread the original post...however my underlying rationale of Sky TV calling the shots regards game times and fuck the fans still stands.
and of course the money provided accordingly means we can spend more money on players.......its just that so can everyone else.

It doesn't matter whether you are in the Championship or the Premier League these days, unless you are sat in midtable obscurity a large amount of your games will be televised and the numbers will only grow as each new TV deal is signed.

The leagues, and indeed the clubs themselves, could stop this all tomorrow by simply refusing to sanction so many TV games. Of course that would mean a significant cut to their income so they don't.

It's the leagues that enable it though, so "fuck Sky" etc is totally misplaced. Sky is only the UK broadcaster of the games offered by the league, but they are being screened globally. The only slight decision is that Sky have the ability to pick the games (though they are bound by club quotas), but the time slots are those that the leagues offer up for tender.

A return to the situation of 20 years simply will not happen so, frustrating as it might be in trying to plan attending games, it's really crying over spoiled milk. In the modern world, sport is television entertainment.
