Terrible news for our old friend Sako - out for the rest of the season and possibly part of next with ankle fracture (courtesy of those nice West Ham 'not-so-keen-on-Africans' people. (Sorry - unwarranted slur, but the 'Ammers were of course the team of choice of Jonny Speight when he created the hideous stereotypical Alf Garnett figure....

And on a day that dos old sparring partner, Afobe, had such a good day.

Life can be cruel.

All the best to Bakary for a speedy recovery. A genuine nice guy, and someone who was just beginning to make a real difference at Palace with a decent manager....

Made even more sad by the fact he was just finding form and showing it in Palace colours.

A big unit like Sako can really be hampered by joint issues. Look how SEB tailed off after his ankle injury. Really hope he comes back stronger. Would love to see him play for Palace vs Wolves next season.

Unfortunate part of the modern game that many players will receive career threatening injuries.

Speed, type of pitches, lack of technical defensive coaching.

So many highs and lows.

Sako is a top bloke, I know a girl who was on a night out, and got separated from her friends.
Standing alone, in the rain, she was approached by Sako and two of his friends.
Clearly distressed her went to a cash point and withdrew £100 and gave it her and put her in a taxi.

Get well soon

Quality. I'd like to think I'd do the same if I was in a similar situation with oodles of cash.
