Regarding "The future of the Wolf" thread can you please add your name to this thread if you are willing to set up a regular monthly contribution of at least £5, this must be a genuinely meant commitment as it will not work if people only contribute for a month or two. if we can promise at least £60 per month then there's a chance we can save the site.

I will start

Many thanks for this, it means a lot. Thanks to a very generous donation from Wolfman and one other donation, we have the hosting fees covered for this month (they were due this week). So, the next time it's needed will be the second week of June.

I haven't set up a standing order, but have instead donated 12 months worth of £5 monthly contributions.

I will do the same at season's end next year if finances allow.

Sorry to be awkward.

I have set up a contribution - hopefully someone will keep us posted as to whether enough is being collected, what is needed, etc - given that this isn't/hasn't been a subscription based forum, and we will presumably be looking for new visitors who will wonder if they need to or should pay, and this isn't a money making venture, then a simple number of contributors, and an average subscription needed, would enable us each to adjust our contributions, as numbers grow, or fall.

Maybe display it in the Home screen.

Could assume £100 a month needed, as bound to be developments required which will need paying for - divide by Number of contributors - could come out at £6, £4 or even £2 - then contributors can adjust any standing order or Paypal sub as they like.

To Summarise at the moment then:

9 have pledged a regular monthly comtribution:
Left Back
Deano's Golden Boots
Suiging
Rozza
Whelp
Gladbachwolf
Desiwulf
raggedwolf
Tstarr

In addition we have:

Lankywolf who has donated 12 months worth up front
THE BIG BAD WOLF has offered ad hoc donations
Wolfman169 has made a significant contribution

Lee has indicated that he will continue with ths site if there is sufficient funding and hopefully this is enough to at least give it a go. It would still be good if a few more could join in and if there are also ad hoc contributions from others.

For now I would request that all those who have made a pledge set up a regular payment to Lee's paypal account which is on the Donate button below. If you have a Paypal account yourself you can set it up as a regular monthly payment without having to do it each time. I would suggest that you aim to pay in the first week of each month in time for it to reach Lee by the second week.

Lee, it would be helpful if you could give us a monthly update as suggested above so we can see how it is going. Just an amount received and paid each month should do it (unless you want to produce a full set of audited accounts  )

Thanks everyone for pulling together and let's hope it works out. Long live The-Wolf.

If anyone wants to add their name to this list please continue with this thread.

Just set up a 5.00 per month payment on Paypal.
I have cancelled my monthly subscription to the Oldie magazine. Money's too tight to mention, as the song goes.
Hope enough subscribe to keep this site alive.
Can somebody get hold of some of the more regular posters who seem to have disappeared such as Cally and Silverstone who I am sure would help to keep things going. How about the resident super coach and general fount of all knowledge, the one and only Knocker Lite (formerly known as the artist KK)? If he could reduce his monthly subscription to Momentum by a fiver a month and funnel it to Mcdogs it would help allow us all to continue to be educated by his presence.

Cheers everyone, we have had enough to donated to keep The Wolf online for the next three months at least, thanks to people donating a year up front. I would rather people just do monthly contributions now if possible please, because with me being in the middle of going bankrupt, any money I have sitting in my account will just be taken up by them. Hope that makes sense? Please don't think I am being ungrateful lol

I assume Mcdogs or someone in authority has the e-mail addresses of those of us on here. If that is the case can't someone email Cally, Silverstone et al telling them the Wolf is still breathing and that donations are being made to keep it that way. Maybe do a mass mailshot to any bugger registered on here for whom an e-mail address is held.

It would be nice to make sure all the recent regulars know what's going on but I still wouldn't want people to feel pressured into promising payments. I have put a comment on the Facebook page in case one or two haven't looked on here for a couple of weeks. As far as a mass mailshot is concerned, I would personally prefer that to be done as a publicity exercise when we have settled down again and, maybe, revamped the site. It might encourage a few returners.
