Great news after suffering almost two years with bad injuries. Fingers crossed for him.

Hear ! Hear!!

Delighted for the lad. Let us hope injuries have not dented confidence (in body) or pace. (I think it both were affected with Costa for half a season).

Hopefully he can be around and about the first team squad this year. Would rather he learns alongside players of the calibre of Neves, Costa, Cav & Jota, and the art of beating good defenders like Boly and Coady RATHER than be sent on loan to get worse coaching, worse players around him, and worse facilities to address niggles. Loans are NOT always a great idea!

Its an interesting point, maybe its time we had a closer look at player development.

How much one on one coaching is required both on the pitch and theory.

How much game time is required.

Could players be coached at TWO clubs so that they learn about the team requirements on one hand while they also receive personal tutorship at their mother club.

Local loans so players can travel to both clubs easily.

Good management keeping the lad involved after a season out with injury even if he sits it all out from the bench.

Yes, being involved, even if not starting, is good for his morale, knowing that he is good enough to be selected for his country despite all his injury problems over the last two years or so.
