Sounds a very good prospect and was part of their World Cup squad.

Rolls Royce of a player, bit like Alan Hansen, get this over the line and its better than last summers window.

Tim Nash says the player is due at Compton this afternoon for talks etc. Sounds like a very promising situation.

Now on Sky Sports News about Dendoncker. The newsreader says "well, Wolves are really going for it in this transfer window".

According to Nash, in addition to Traore and Dendoncker, he has been told Wolves could still be in for another 'big' signing before the deadline.

Wolves close in on £28m double swoop for Zinchenko and Dendoncker
By Tim Spiers | Wolves | Published: Less than an hour ago

Wolves are closing in on a £28million double swoop to take their summer spending to more than £80m before tomorrow’s 5pm transfer deadline.

Leander Dendoncker and Oleksandr Zinchenko could become Wolves players tomorrow
Leander Dendoncker and Oleksandr Zinchenko are both on the verge of moving to Molineux – hot on the heels of an £18m club record move for winger Adama Traore which was completed this morning.

Belgian defensive midfielder/centre half Dendoncker, aged 23, is believed to be at Compton Park tonight completing a medical ahead of a £12m switch from Anderlecht.

And 21-year-old Manchester City left wing back/central midfielder Zinchenko is thought to be heading to the training ground tomorrow morning for his medical and to finalise personal terms.

That deal would cost £16m and take Wolves' spending this summer to a huge £84m.

Dendoncker has won six caps for his country including one against England during their World Cup group stage clash. After coming through the ranks at Anderlecht he's plaeyd 171 times for the club including in the Champions League.

Wolves have chased Zinchenko all summer but he looked likely to agree to a move until now as he was keen to see if he had a future at City.

City have needed Zinchenko to feature in their pre-season games with fellow left-footers Bernard Mendy coming back to full match fitness following a long-term injury and Fabian Delph returning late after the World Cup.

However, the 21-year-old was not in City’s squad for their 2-0 Community Shield win over Chelsea at the weekend and he's now likely to join Wolves ahead of the window closing at 5pm on Thursday.

If they go ahead the two deals should complete Wolves' summer business with no other deals thought to be in the pipeline.

He is quite highly thought of .

I will admit I was worrying about the lack of a decent player in defence when we missed out on Alfie mawson . However this lad will make me feel more confident. Boly and Dendoncker at the back with Coady sweeping up would be quality

Dendoncker played throughout his youth career as a centre half, then when about twenty Anderlecht moved him into deep midfield.
He's comfortable on the ball and capable of playing where the coach requires him.

His mate went to Monaco and will replace a bloke name Moutinho.

Very pleased with this transfer. Our defence should cope better now than I thought it might a short while ago.

Season long loan, not permanent at this stage though a deal is in place for next summer.

Interesting that we've delayed shelling out. Could suggest that we still want to spend big on a player but are getting close to FFP spending limits.

It's all a bit surreal.

Difficult one. I can't see him ousting Neves or Moutinho so he may come in at the back. Bennett is probably most vulnerable although I thought he had a really good game yesterday. The alternative might require a change of formation such as 3 5 2 instead of 3 4 3

Belgium players often take time to settle, it could be past Christmas before you see anywhere near the best of this lad.

Thats whats a bit strange with the one year loan, they often come strong in their second year.

Left sided wing back whilst Jonny moves across to the right, perhaps.

No, he's a right footed central defender / defensive midfielder. Shape wise the failure to get the left wing back Nuno wanted is propably going to haunt us, at least until January.

Massive opportunity for Ruben Vinagre to step up at 19 years old he should be starting to make the first team spot his own.
