The sad barsteward that I am, I will be at Glanford Park tonight to see what our youngsters can do. Staying overnight and driving back tomorrow after breakfast. All part of my quest to visit all 92 League grounds before I depart the planet. As Wolves are playing at a ground that I have not yet visited, so much the better. Hell, I might even bump into Silverstone Wolf..;-). A report of JGB will appear on this thread later tonight or tomorrow morning. Stay tuned in..:-)

Great stuff....

... but unfortunately I will not be making the journey into the unknown (otherwise known as Scunthorpe) this evening. We keenly await your report on the game, and particularly whether any lads look promising for the 1st team soon...

I went to Grimsby on a Tuesday night once to watch um. We did win a Wembley final an all in the end day we, we day want thanks either, we was just glad to be Wolves.

I managed to get to Grimsby as a feckless yute too, rather than some rich London pensioner innit.

See my Scunthorpe message mate

Borthwick-Jackson has found his level.

Would have hoped the front guys would have been more impressive against Scunthorpe U21 if they are seriously aiming to be Prem strikers....

The front three tried hard but were always dominated by the opposition defenders. I don't think any won an aerial duel at all, on the floor they were ok. The standout performers were Diallo, Giles and John, with Kilman also looking like he belonged. The great thing was that they set up exactly as the senior team does in formation and shape, it was great to see them carrying out the Nuno plan. If one of those does manage to gradually creep into first team squad selection, I reckon it'll be Diallo, he reminds me a lot of of Ya Ya Toure.

Max Kilman is really interesting, his story would make a good in depth journalistic piece.
