Well that's one over. Wales thrash Rep of Ireland. At least Doc didn't get on and so didn't get hurt!
News of the other internationals and whether our boys came through unscathed??

Neves also the full second game.... Time to recover!
Jimenez has picked up 'small muscle issue - sent home to Wolves as precaution'.. Hope their assessment is accurate....!!!

Portugal vs Italy last night with Ruben Neves starting for the European champions.
It was a good technical game with Ruben taking the role in front of the back four in a 4-1-2-3 system.
Initially it took 20 minutes for the other two midfield players to find their positions relative to Ruben so unfortunately Ruben was doing the leg work of two or more.
Thankfully before our man ran himself into exhaustion William Carvalho dropped ten yards deeper and suddenly links appeared through the field.
Comfortable at any level Ruben Neves has a long distinguished international future ahead of him because of his first touch, ability with the ball and reading of the game.

He should tell City, utd etc etc to do one when they come for him in January and wait it out until real Madrid come knocking - I can picture him at his prime running games and lifting trophies for them

Why would such a level headed lad wish to sit on the bench for half of each season. Eventually at 23 years old Wolves surround him with similar talents or he moves on to further develop his career. The balls in Wolves court.

As ambitious as Fosun are Wolves will never be offering a better chance of trophies or better wages than the likes of Real Madrid.

I guess at that stage Jorge Mendes sends Marco Asensio in the opposite direction.
