This game comes maybe a day to soon for Wolves with recovery time in mind.
Heavy pitch in Braga adding to a first eleven with limited squad options.
Would Wilder be on your Wolves short list should Nuno leave for the Arsenal?
Forecast.. Wolves 1 Sheff Utd 0.

Fosun were too burned listening to home crowd and going for Lambert to entertain another Brit as manager. Any replacement would be an international one. Shame Lopetegui is now under contract at Sevilla.
This will be a tough game as they are sky high in confidence and we just cannot seem to put together two convincing halves of football. It's all about whether we make the most of our one good half.

Lambert was a big improvement on Zenga, steered us away from a potential relegation.
A lot of English managers doing well in the Prem at the moment, Wilder would have to be on the shortlist, somewhat of a continuity candidate give how they setup.

Please, guys, can we stop any debate on who might replace Nuno!!??? To do so implies we think it is happening!!
And in any case, not sure Wilder has the skills we need to get the best out of our squad!! (Perhaps he could go to Man Utd instead, and Howe to Man City and Dyche to Liverpool....! That should give Nuno & us the title...!)

A tough game, for us I can only see them winning, even a point would be good

A tough game indeed. Their tales are up at the moment while our boys are coming back from a strength sapping pitch in Portugal. No Boly, no Saiss. I fear a defeat. Come on boys, prove me wrong again!

Bldy VAR again, didn't notice Sheffield kicked off a minute before Wolves had even taken the field.
Gawd, we can be really shite first thing after a kick off or restart - seems to take forever to build our concentration. Going to be a long 90 minutes today against these lads who are flying high.

Very obvious we have a makeshift defence today. To be fair they are on another level going forward, excellent combinations whilst we just give Traore the ball and a minute later an inept ball flies over every ones' heads.

It is a makeshift defence but it would help if the midfield stepped up a bit to relieve the pressure on them.

Putting a decent cross in really isn't as hard as Traore makes it seem.

Really poor football. Jota didn't do anything right all game in attack and the left side was absolutely non-existent.
Without Boly and Saiss the defence was just an accident waiting to happen all day. Dendoncker the worse player on the pitch all game long. Patricio saved our bacon from being 3 down.
It would be great if we would train setpieces as our corners never even bring an effort on target, let alone a goal. In tight games we need to have that threat.
Nuno gave his verdict on our summer recruitment work by not even considering a substitution.

Wow that was one hard fought point - we had to survive a first 20 min onslaught, but can't help but feel we should have pinched it in the last 20 mins - Jota not at his best and made some poor choices which may have cost us that 2nd goal - and they should have been down to 10 men for last 15mins - had fancied 9 points from this and next 2 games, which would have shown our true credentials for top 6 slot, but not to be.

Disappointed with the performance, pleased with a point all things considered. Dendonkey had a mare. As previously mentioned, it was very telling that Nuno used no subs. Recruitment needs looking at, especially when the players are expected to play so many games.

Sure he overhits a few but he gets plenty into the box which wouldn't be there at all without his ability to run past defenders. Today he pulled one back late on to Jota, I know who I think was the more culpable of the two when it went over the bar.

hi guys - won;t do a 'just got back' as nearly everyone seems to get to home games! But for what it is worth, I am a mix of disappointed and relieved.
Awful start - very dozy! Not sure I am quite as vicious towards the Donk as a few; yes, he made some mistakes, and was caught wrong side, but also nipped in and made some timely interceptions in our box.
Patricio made 3/4 really good saves, and we could well have conceded more, but we needed a bit more of the 'rub of the green' too. Nothing quite fell right for us. Jota made several very poor decisions - presumably lack of goals is beginning to prey on his mind?
And i STILL want Traore to sometimes cut inside from 40 yards out and RUN AT the box, and do his tricks to either bring a foul (penalty?) or create space for others as defences panic.
But I am not going to be too harsh. Thursday's game in Portugal was played on a very very very soggy and energy-sapping pitch; our lads did well to keep going! But we really DO need 3 points v West Ham (and at least 3 in the combined away matches at Brighton & Norwich).
AND what was that NONSENSE of a VAR check for a penalty on Jota when EVERYONE could see that there was a clear and obvious offside in the build-up which the linesman correctly flagged?? It made VAR seem even more ridiculous than it has shown itself to be already! SCRAP IT for goodness sake, and go back to moaning about officials after the game; at least there was a FACE to moan at!

The decision making of the support strikers to the central striker was under 14 standard.
The decision making of the wide defenders in the back three was under 14 standard.
