edit: somebody please explain to Embers what KJ means by 'tinker with a substitute' before he gets the wrong idea.

Bristol City v Shrewsbury 19:45
Leyton Orient v Notts County 19:45

Top v bottom is surely crying out for a shock result?

When I was a youth, I liked to tinker with bikes, but I've never been tinkered with.

Was anyone in The Lychgate the night we played Walsall in the JPT? Just wondering if there was any banter.

VIEW FROM THE TRAINING GROUND

Wolves boss Kenny Jackett told BBC WM:

"Our forwards look like they're capable of firing, which always gives you a chance of winning games.

"But we now need to get a better foothold in games. We need to improve and we have to sustain a few clean sheets.

"We played Walsall two weeks ago in the JPT, so both sides know a lot about each other and it should make for a special atmosphere."

Walsall boss Dean Smith told BBC WM:

"We'll respect Wolves but we won't fear them. We've already been there in the JPT and drawn 2-2 and will take a lot of belief from that.

"We'll have a good following of supporters and it's important to them that we can go there and put in a performance.

"We won't be overawed by the occasion but we know we'll have to be at our best."

No, Notts County will continue to be absolutely dire for a few more weeks until their manager is sacked. They will then come out firing under a new manager with his first match no doubt being the Paint Pot game against us live on the tellybox.

The match programme has McCarey on the front. Not sure that's wise.

He did well in the penalty shootout, against Walsall, so maybe that has something to do with it? Not sure.

I'm sure that's why they have done it. Doesn't it write the opposition managers pre-match talk for him though? It looks like a piss-take to me. What will it look like to the Walsall players?

Programme likes to use players that have a link to both clubs as it helps attract the visiting fans to buy one if they see a former player of theirs will feature in it, probably discussing them. McCarey is the only one of our squad who's previously played for them so I can see why he was chosen.

You can bet McDonald will be on the front of the Sheff Utd programme next week.

Ah. That is a very good point. I'd forgotten that link.

I can't see there being many changes, but I think Stearman might come back in, allowing Ricketts to go back to left back.

It really feels like a big match, especially with the recent cup match between the sides and everything. I think everybody is very excited about tonight. Big crowd, decent atmosphere, Wolves getting results without really firing. It could be a cracker. Expect 0-0. :)

I thought Ismail was doing well. As glad as I am about McDonald signing, we always have to drop either Evans or Ismail, and I would like to see them both playing.

Another thing: no gametime for Edwards, yesterday or today.

Not that I'm a great fan; you would want him fit though, rather than not.

edit: If it sounds like negativity, it's just nerves.

OK, the game is only 20 mins old but the commentator said that Jackett knows the midfield are under-performing and wanted more for Swindon but didn't get it and the same problem exists today.

Time for Foley on at the hour or half time and Edwards to be blooded with a bit of time on Saturday. We can't go on like this.

Sometimes feel like we have too many options and KJ doesn't know his best team or formation.

Stale 1 up on Juve.

Midfield problem again it seems from what the commentator said.

Sako- interesting comments. The £3.5 million would have come in handy to buy a playmaker.

Kevin MacDonald not really worked so far.

Really we should be sweeping teams before us, not arrogance, just the gulf in class between our players and the rest in this league.
