All M.P.'s are to receive a 10% percent pay rise only days after telling public sector workers to accept a maximum 1% increase over the next four years.
Barbara Seville, a spokesperson for the M.P.s said in a candid interview, "The reason we are rightly due a massive increase is mainly due to us being able to actually dictate and vote in our own wages".
A spokesperson for all public sector workers, Delores Behan-Ingland said " Fucking shallow, shyster, conniving, self serving, aloof and greedy bastards"

You don't understand. Their job is so difficult you see. They have to do things like hanging around in the Commons bars until quite late at night in order to vote at a moments notice. They also often have to live in 2 separate houses (heavily subsidised) depending on what they are doing, how unsettling is that?
Surely that is so much more difficult and deserving of high pay than, say, having to deal with emergencies where people's lives are at risk.

I doubt the Tories give a flying fuck about 10% extra on the basic salary, they are in it for the bigger prizes. The acquisition of major contracts so that they can move millions/billions of tax payers money into their own private interests in the private sector.
They wouldn't enter politics for what the commons pay which is chicken feed when viewed through the bigger picture.

I think your right, while swaning off on six weeks holiday to boot. The big question is how do you get the right calibre people into politics with the right intentions. If policy at every stage was transparent, if every cost was transparent we might see close to 300 of the current MPs walking away. Which must be a good thing
