There appears to be a new and creeping annoyance in the field of TV and Radio language where persons asked a question repeatedly start their response with the word "So". Example....
"How do you think Briatain pulling out of the EU will affect petrol prices"
"So, the retail price index"...........etc etc.
There is absolutely no need to say "So" and it aggravates the shit out of me so stop it!

that particular phrasing always reminds me of the bit in Terminator 2 where Robert Patrick sees a copper on a motorbike and says to him: 'Say, that's a nice bike'
why do you need to say say?
another odd one is how does the word cleanse differ from the word clean? its a pointless word.

I usually start spoken and written sentences with ''Well,'' it gives me a second to phrase my reply and gives others notice that I am going to speak and they should shut the fook up and listen. What I hate about today's speak is the word AWESOME when it ain't anywhere near fookin awesome. When something really Awesome occurs what are these trolls going to say, Super no doubt. SO, Fook You.

Bloody ell, yam the fathainlaw! You know, as soon as he starts a sentence with "Well..." he's going to give his opinion on something, but he expects you to take his opinion as gospel. Here we go again... There's a colleague of mine, who, whenever he calls me, which is several times a day, repeats the opening gambit "Howya doin, ya'riiiiite?" in an East Midlands twang. FFS, I said OK the first time, I ay changed!

My Dad hates that as well. Not much pisses him off more, than starting a sentence with "So" or people who say "Me myself". What other Me are you talking about?

Tell him he is a good man. The rise of "So" is becoming a torrent now prior to someone explaining their view or point or way forward, it is excruciatingly annoying and pointless.
