Do you tick the box "sign me in each visit?" when you sign in.

Do you have cookies enabled?

Same problem, tick the box to remember me, but it don't although, it or my windows programme remembers my password and nick.

I have cookies enabled and only clear them out now and again. I think it is a quirk in the system, no big deal just a slight delay before one can get into any punch ups.

It appears to have righted itself this time - strange, but nice.

Dear moderators, I have a problem. Even though I tick the box to remember my password, but every few days I am asked to log in again. Not a major problem, but I just wondered why it keeps happening.

Thank you for your assistance.

Does it happen after you clear your browsing history?

Technical assistance people usually say "Try clearing your browser history" at this point, rather than "That's me bollocksed then"

DISCLAIMER: If you do clear your browser history and something goes wrong, Frank, I was only kidding. I don't use windows and have no idea whether clearing your browser history clears everything else as well, such as stored passwords and the like.

Sometimes if you have a clean up it removes stored passwords by default apparently.

Have you tried unplugging the aerial?

The site plants a Cookie to remember your details and if you clear out your Cookies overall which ain't a bad thing to do every now and again then, you will need to log in again albeit, certain windows programmes will ask you if you want it to remember your password for this or that site. If you say Yes then, you should only need to type the first letter of your Username and the computer should offer you the rest of your Log In and your password.

If the site itself is not remembering you after you have elected for the site to 'Automatically Log In' each visit then, I could only guess that something in your own computer is blocking the site from being allowed to remember you.

Personally I would start again by clearing out all History and Cookies first all of and then Logging back into each site you frequent and clicking the button for that site to Automatically Log You in each visit.

Failing that, don't follow Rozza's advice without a safety net as the last bloke he recommended that fix to was Rod Hull.

Thank you for your assistance Gents. Though I must warn you that I am not very good with all this modern technology. I usually do a lap of honour if I manage to switch my PC on.....

A friend has this morning cleared my browsing history, and I have re-set my passwords on various sites, including this one. Hopefully that will do the trick, otherwise I will be doing my Rod Hull impersonation.!!
