Now they are really in trouble.. Plus they still have to play Donny.
A job too far maybe for the honest Jones?

Yesterday was a must-win for them, and they blew it.

Gone..

A really good non league coach on the short list for the Hartlepool job, I hope he gets it. I do get frustrated when clubs appoint profile while ignoring talents.

Just being employed by that Costa Coffee product puts your job in jeopardy.

I wondered if Dave Challinor would be looked at??
Walsall have certainly had a good look at his goal scorer this season

Mixed thoughts on Walsall in many respects the manager speaks a good game while his team are very naive.
Good loan signings, used that market well.

To be fair to him, apart from being a hard ex-defender, he is a physio..
Scouting is always key, do teams scout better with less resources?

What do you read into the fact Osbourne doesn't want to play for him next season?

Is that cash based or professional differences?

Scouting wise some of his signings were a bit Walt Disney, ok if your playing a summer season on the beach with a bit of Harlem Globe Trotter stylee.
But clubs up and down the land are going to eat you trying to play like that.

His loan signings were top notch though, thats got him out of jail from his pie in the sky imaginative football.

A bit of both, they don't get on and he needs to make space, for next season
Whitney is very direct in his approach, he is looking at Lloyd(Stockport) and Rowe (AFC Fylde)
Both not young? But they have no money

Riccardo Calder from the Villa would replace Osbourne on less money and be just the type for whats required.
Plus at 21 he has scope to improve creating a sell on profit.

You dont have to look far.

Portsmouth boss Paul Cook is interested in talking to League One-bound Wigan Athletic about their vacant managerial role, reports BBC Radio Solent.

Cook led Pompey to the League Two title this season and has one year remaining on his contract at Fratton Park.

But it is understood that the 50-year-old, a former Wigan player, is on the Latics' managerial shortlist after their relegation from the Championship.

Football club ownership needs looking at, joke that Monk should be under any threat.

Look at Paul Clement who Derby sacked, done the job of the season at Swansea.

I hope Clement goes all the way in the game, just seems such a nice guy.
He could be the next English coach to win the Premier League but at which club?

Will Mancini, Rodgers or both return to the Premier League in time for next season

Rodgers is perfect for Scotland isn't he, a place he can go, set up his angles and triangles through the field knowing his opponents don't have the quality to hurt him.

Its lovely having that freedom of expression without hurtful consequence.

Big Sam's had a productive year, £2m bonus for saving Sunderland, £1m pay off from England and another £2m from Palace, plus wages.
Now he walks away and can't work for anyone else for the remaining 2 years of his Palace contract.
Is it really the end?

His reasons for leaving are sound. Good on him for calling it quits when he felt the time was right. Wish I would be able to retire at an early age.

He always seems to me like a bloke in it for the money, not a bloke who enjoys it, fair enough.

Rumour is the events in Manchester have swayed him, not sure if there is a connection?
A much maligned British premier league manager...rare.

He did rather seem like a gun for hire who would head anywhere in England for the right wage. Blew his two biggest chances to become a real managerial player with the tactics at Newcastle and own goal with England.

The question is, Where could he go?

The top six clubs are miles away from the other Premier league clubs, Everton come seventh and the rest could find themselves in a relegation struggle.

Stoke City look his best option if he was looking to build something over the mid to long term, and he probably acknowledges thats a tough ask.

He could have a long holiday then drop into a struggling Prem side at Christmas looking for the big bonus again.

The formula of adding three or more real top earners for half a season being the key to Premier league survival.

Mamadou Sakho at 120k a week a price to high for many clubs, but not those Sam would take a shine to.

Get in, occasionally talent is rewarded over profile, Christ England has a lot of catching up to do, but its a start.

I'm curious to see where Lambert will end up. He's had three consecutive lackluster performances with Villa, Blackburn and Wolves. I can't see another Championship club taking him on unless they're in trouble next season. If he wants a job before next season, he would have to drop down to League One I'd imagine.

Bet he ends up with the Scotland job, or maybe in Germany, with someone like St Pauli or 1860 Munchen.
