Does anyone else have another World Cup team they tend to support for when England aren't playing or are out, for sentimental or random reasons
Mine is Mexico. They were the first team I really remember playing that intricate passing game we now associate with Barcelona and Spain ( and Wolves).
I also liked their strip and I saw them as underdogs in a couple of great games against Germany and Argentina. And does anyone remember the "Blanco Bounce"- recall guys trying to copy this after the tournament.Cool move till a couple of giant German defenders got wise to it.

I always like a plucky underdog. So this World Cup I'll be keeping an eye on Australia and Iceland

Ever since I was a kid I thought every World Cup is there for Brazil to lose, they have the best players, will they select them.
Initially in the squad, then in team selections, then will they tactically kill their own chances.

This World Cup the squad selection seems above 80% right and the teams selection during qualification has been good.

Now can the coach fulfil his role and get them playing as a team.
