Have the courage to let your team lose playing the style of football that your philosophy demands. It will only serve to help your players work out how to be better the next time. Anyone can resort to plan B without ever mastering plan A

I wonder if Wolves didn't face certain restrictions because of FFP, not having Premier league money for enough rolling years if they would have been given first option on the Everton Brazilians.

Bernard and Richarlison.

And how much would they be an upgrade on the current Portuguese talent.

Will Nuno and Jorge look to the bigger market in Brazil rather than concentrate on Portugal.

Sharing the language a massive advantage you would think.

Roy Keane: ''You look at Matthijs de Ligt, he’s captaining Ajax at 19 years old earning a modest wage.
Meanwhile Rashford is scoring 10 goals a season, killing disabled fans in wheelchairs with his free kicks earning £100k & Lingard is earning £120k to be an Instagrammer.”

Sheffield Wednesday made a £35m loss last season so ‘did a Villa’ , sold stadium to another Chansiri company at a £38m profit.

This seems to be the new FFP model in the Football League at least. In future every club will be selling its stadium each season to another company in the owner's portfolio.

If we ever go down, Fosun can shift the stadium around any of their umpteen companies for eternity.

Wont these loopholes be closed, or do we have a free for all in the charge for Premier league booty?

The Football League has no strength to act with any authority.

72 members and all the revenue is generated by TV deals which are only signed based on about 10 clubs. Handicap those clubs and the league decreases in value to TV audiences.

If you enforced their rules to the nth degree, almost all of the Championship would be under transfer embargo and start the season with points deductions. A very bad look for the competition and certainly not a situation conductive to generating viewing interest and getting people into the stadiums. Many fans needs new signings, the hope of promotion to maintain their interest.

Ultimately, FFP would never stand up in a court of law anyway. There is no law that can restrict the debt a company can have or the losses it can make. In the real world either the company goes bust or it survives.

Villa sign 4 players from Belgium, yet the best player in that league is a 6ft 4inch Norwegian.

Hello Premier league where are your scouts.

Alex Iwobi: Everton sign Arsenal forward in five-year deal worth up to £34m

Rúben Dias triggered an automatic one-year contract extension due to the number of games he played in 2018/19. He is now tied to Benfica until 2024, although President Luís Filipe Vieira still wants to renegotiate his contract to increase the minimum fee release clause [A Bola].

The Bury situation shows up how flimsy the EFL regulations really are, but I suppose that is inevitable when the clubs themselves get to agree on rule changes.

A proper competition would insist on solid proof that a club can complete a season before they are granted a license to even begin playing matches. This is established practice in Germany. Clubs have the close season to sell players as necessary and make the necessary cuts to get their house in order before they can even start the season. If you cannot meet the standards of the respective division you have to start lower down the pyramid.

If one is honest about the EFL, its structure is probably no longer fully viable. Having 72 professional clubs in the modern game is unparalleled in world football. The money in football has become too concentrated at the top to realistically fund 72 clubs as professional going concerns when they are offering a lower quality product, have almost no TV appeal and often play in front of crowds of barely 2,000.

The league should take the opportunity of Bury (and perhaps Bolton) leaving to downscale to 90 as a start.

The EFL were given chapter and verse on the background of the Hong Kong criminals who nearly ran BirminghamCity into the ground. They simply didn't care.

Both are wankers, but this club and others live beyond their means

Just looking at a potential transfer.

Torino are trying to sign a player from France for around 9 million pounds.

That same player was offered to half a dozen Premier league clubs for 20 million during our window.

Easy to get burned if you don't have Jorge Mendes and staff working your corner.

Steve Dale, the owner of Bury, has received payments of more than £115,000 from the stricken football club’s accounts since the start of the year, according to documents seen by The Times ,

This at a time when all the staff went unpaid.

I've heard that Dale is basically the British Trump. Buys things, strips them, stiffs contractors and leaves.

A very interesting pass.

The early switch of play.

Yesterday to create the Salah chance Liverpool opened up open field by using an early switch of play.

Man City had pressed high with a fair few number of players

Liverpool were looking to play out from the back with the ball played square to wide right

With limited options the player on the ball could have played a 10 yard pass backwards to a supporting player near him.

Or as is usual a backwards pass into a centre back.

But he didn't.

He looked across, saw oceans of space from which his team mate the left back could run through.

That early Crossfield switch of play took so many players out of the game, enabled the left back to travel and deliver the crossed ball onto Salahs head.

A pass that more teams should use against teams that try and condense the play..

City Football Group (CFG), the owner of EPL champions Man City, is selling an over 10 per cent stake in its business to US private equity firm Silver Lake for around USD 500.

City Football Group thus has been valued at USD 4.8 billion, a record in global sports valuations.

Fosun will be in deep thought as to the global opportunities.

FC Schalke 04

A good watch this season when on the ball.

There's three or four in that team who you take to Wolves during the January or summer window.

Any views on Harit or Serdar?

Arsène Wenger issues football warning: "Today, like in basketball, certain creative players are being excluded, under the simple pretext that they are not athletic enough."

Its certainly a huge concern especially as coaches within the Premier league will do plenty of copycat coaching when Liverpool win the league.

There was a time when the shift in tempo was a key added element in chance creation.

Christian Eriksen has officially arrived in Milan ahead of his medial today.

Can someone explain to me why Christian Eriksen is not signing for Man Utd.

You could then allow Juan Mata the opportunity to move to Milan.

Puzzled..

Josh Brownhill is set to have a medical at Burnley after the club agreed a fee with Bristol City.

If Wolves were still run as a traditional English club he is one you would look to sign.

Likewise the West Brom full back Nathan Ferguson touted for Crystal Palace.
