Can this be made a sticky please for the season, and used just for footballing bets. Seemed to be quite popular last season people talking about what they were going to have?

I have gone with a 5 fold anyway for the weekend, plus 4 folds.
5 fold was about 125/1

WOLVES
FULHAM
CARDIFF
BARNSLEY
PETERBOROUGH

Also gone with a quid on a long shot treble -
Derby 0-0 Rotherham H/T, Derby 1-1 Rotherham F/T
Wigan 1-0 Reading H/T, Wigan 2-0 Reading F/T
Norwich 1-0 Wolves H/T, Norwich 1-1 Wolves F/T
5000/1

Any four from five,

Brentford to beat Charlton.

Middlesbrough to beat Birmingham.

Wigan to beat Reading.

Fleetwood to beat Crewe.

MK Dons to beat Gillingham.

I never expect to win on the opening weekend, usually far too many shocks.

Not meaning to change the subject Stallion but can i ask where everyone bets at?

I used Skybet last season as they matched my 5 pound weekly bet with a free one, however arent doing it this season so looking to switch online bookies. However I have no idea who gives the best offers, any suggestions?

I have Leyton Orient to be promoted, Man City to win the prem, Barca to win the champ league and Derby to get promoted. £5 gets me £2010 when it doesnt happen...

Not got any for the start of the season yet however.

I have a few accounts but bet365 is ok.Obviously if there are offers elsewhere I chop and change.
Pretty user friendly though and have the cash out facility on the footie which is brilliant/shite depending whether you make the right call.
You are best to have a few accounts because a treble at one firm may pay 50-1 but another 60-1,so it's best to have choice.

Thanks, is there anywhere to your knowledge which matches bets each week or offer rewards etc?

Nothing like the skybet one chrissy, doing that week in week out is a rare.
How many accounts have you?because given that they all have a sign up bonus you should be able to have plenty of free bets doing it that way. :D

I have only ever used bet365, I signed up, and find it easy to use and the app works well on the iphone. Never found a reason to switch. Personally I dont want lots of accounts because all the offers would tempt me to gamble more than I do. Bet365 refund a lot of markets if the final score is 0-0, something I have found a nice little surprise when I forget about it and log back in.

Using accounts for the sign up bonuses is a sensible way to bet silver. If you are betting on a market anyway it is something for nothing. If you are using it purely to get the bonus then you may be gambling when you normally wouldn't.
So as i say using the bonus purely for your saturday footie bet is a no brainer.

Cheltenham 13/2
Colchester 9/2
Dag and Red 4/1
Accrington 6/1
Fleetwood 100/30
Oxford 9/2

It looks hard this week again not much to go on bar price, so here goes.Bookies not giving much away from what I can see.
Newcastle to beat city may be the best time to catch them early on and 4/1 looks big.
Milton keynes away to peterborough at 5/2,bit shorter than the 3s or above I want but still looks a good shout.
Northampton 5/2 away to york. They had a good confidence boosting win in midweek, against a shower of shite but still a win

Newcastle 4/1
Milton keynes 5/2
Northampton 5/2

3xsingles
1xtreble

It's always tough this early in the season but give it a month to settle down.To be fair though I wouldn't have touched qpr or brighton(think they will seriously under achieve).
The champ is notorioulsly a strange division where anyone can beat anyone and so when the bookies ease off a bit and there are regular 3/1 4/1 5/1 for the away sides there will be some good bets to be had.I hope.

For this weeks mid week games in the champ, league 1 and 2 there are only 3 games where the odds are over 3-1.That shows how hard it is and how tight the bookies are being at present and it ruins my betting and staking plan too.

And for my next trick.

To be honest when one fails you often hope the lot fail.

Its very difficult to approach football betting with an open mind set, we tend to have favourites or at least select in hope rather than wisdom.

If selecting Wolves for example, as with yesterday at Rotherham all three results are possible against Fulham.
Though I expect Wolves to easily put Cardiff to the sword next weekend.

Divison one went pretty much to form and quality of side with the exception being Doncaster
1-3 Port Vale.

Brentford to beat Blues.

Middlesbrough to beat Sheff Wed.

Wigan to beat Blackpool.
