I've always thought they should ban any sort of long ball / heading in kids games anyway, just to encourage them to use their feet more and develop technical skills. The health concern is just another reason.

How long before calls are made to ban heading in the adult game? I could envisage a future where they may not ban heading completely, but ban any sort of long ball from your own half. To limit the impact on players heads from heading a ball coming at force from a long distance.
