finally some realistic options

dont know squat about either player though to give fair verdict

scunthorpe play maker will probably be better off signing for qpr and playing first team football whilst getting promoted rather than us. Like the fact we're in for creative midfielder if true, just no certaines that he can compete in top league

dundee striker is the last of our worries, likely not to have an impact as will be the new 4th choice striker

I don't know about that, these mods are not as intelligent as people think, they said I was over qualified and I only have a CSE in Cooking and I only got a grade C as I burnt my pie.

Wolves are drawing up their list of targets for the January transfer window – but it’s unlikely to include Molineux favourites Joleon Lescott and Robbie Keane.

Why does he want a right sided centre back we already have stearman and zubes surely we need a left back and a centre back?

obviously doesnt see stearman as short term answer and i'd have to agree, as for zubes he'll play right back

also given our situation we need to get players in pronto to improve our postion not wait until uncle jezza can knock 100k of the fee at the end of january and of result us missing out on valuable points available

"Wolves are drawing up their list of targets for the January transfer window – but it’s unlikely to include Molineux favourites Joleon Lescott and Robbie Keane.

Boss Mick McCarthy has earmarked a right-sided centre-back as the main priority next month after being given the go-ahead by chairman Steve Morgan to pursue fresh blood to prop up the club’s survival bid.

Sources say Wolves have made tentative enquiries to find out Lescott’s situation at Manchester City.

But although it is understood the England international would be open to the prospect of rejoining Wolves, his £90,000-a-week wages and the fact McCarthy wants a right-sided central defender — Lescott is predominantly left-sided — would appear to make a romantic loan return of the City stopper unlikely."

^^^ I so hope this is f'n wrong......is lescott better than berra? i think we all know the answer, so bloody sign him if available!

most likely utter BS

but comment on E & S says

"NO BULL. Ive had it from from the horses mouth himself, the players agent, that curtis davis is coming to us in jan for 2.5 million.

Celtic want his aswell but he wants to stay in the area and is well up for joining us.

So everyone theres your right sided centre half.

You heard it here 1st."

so add curtis davies name to the rumoured list

If we're looking at Scunthorpe, i'd take a look at Woolford, Great player, plucked from non-league obscurity a la Kightly. Can play anywhere in the midfield or up front. God forbid we do go down, in a good side in the Championship he will score bagfuls.

'Utility players' are sh*t. They're average in a lot of positions, instead of brilliant in one.

Apparently we will be getting Curtis Davies for 2.5million. Celtic wanted him but he wishes to stay in the area. . . . . .

If we sign anybody, it needs to be players who have established themselves in the Premier League. Signing people from the likes of Scunthorpe and Watford won't get us anywhere fast!

Fully agree with this.

Signing these players is for the future so if we get them in January it will be as add-ons and I can't see that happening at the expense of losing out to established players. This kind of signing will more than likely take place in the summer - unless Uncle Steve feels full of the Xmas spirit in these times of constraint...and I don't reckon that'll be the case.

Exactly!

I'm all for signing players with promise and building for the future, but the time isn't right. Especially as we're going to be involved in a big relegation scrap, the sort of players that we're linked with who are playing at a lower level, just aren't what we need. Not now anyway.

Rumour that Alex Ferguson may let Jonny Evans out on loan to help rebuild his confidence, worth an ask?
