from the daily mail web site

8.30am: Mick McCarthy has said his loan signing of Jamie O'Hara from Tottenham has concluded the club's business. And Robbie Keane is relieved to have moved off the bench at Spurs to help West Ham's push for survival, but Scott Parker's move in the other direction is a dead duck according to Harry Redknapp.

Mick Quoted yesterday as saying he won't register kightly and G-man in the 25 until the last minute in case we do some last minute business

to me that says we are still looking, although it won't be a disaster if we are all done

In terms of players leaving Eastlands, Shaun Wright-Phillips was linked with Bolton and Fulham before Johnson was sidelined but City have not received any bids for him yet anyway.

This from the bbc site, Matt Jarvis been mentioned. Cant see it happening

I never knew Hulk is a winger.

Like who?

You are wishing us to sell our best player with a few hours left to sign a replacement. Jarvis is no worse than Young, Wright Phillips etc and you sir are off your rocker.

Hate to have to stick up for W27 but what I think he meant (hypothetically of course) was we could get far more but get a replacement in for 1 to 3m and have lots left over.

as said jarvis is very overated

great player for low premier side, but would cut it at top 10 side. has no final ball and control isn't good enough for top side!

if we got a mind blowing offer then adios (im not saying i'd sell him for peanuts)

he's replaceable in my opinion

If we got a mind blowing offer, say £10m, and we sell. We'd have £10m to build the squad with. You're saying we can replace Jarvis with less than £3m. Okay, if thats your opinion fair enough. But, on another thread, you are complaining that we are linked with defenders in the £2m bracket and not the £5/6m bracket. So if we sold Jarvis and followed your plan of replacing him, you still wouldn't be happy as we've signed a £2m replacement. What do you actually want?

He is a very, very good defender. Been in the prem for the past 5 years as a regular starter. Captained his last 3 sides for spells as well. Would have been perfect. Ah well, we move on.

sell jarvis 10m

we already have hunt, hamill, mujangi (and kightly for future years)

always play a tighter 4 across midfield and play o'hara or edwards out there

jarvis is hardly in best of form of late

if worst happens and go down we'll be lucky get 5m for him imo

So your plan is to sell Jarvis, widely rated by many of our fans and those at other clubs, and not replace him? We'd have 3 wingers so are short on cover. If Hunt gets injured our hands are tied as to who plays. We'd have Hammill and Geoff. When you add together the time both have played for us this season its around 120m. Thats not even two games. How can you say they are ready made Jarvis replacements? I'm not being negative, this is realism. They have promise but havent proven much yet.

In addition to that you would also shoehorn two CM's into wing positions. Again this is square pegs into round holes. Which is what many on here, and i'm pretty sure you, get frustrated and angry at Mick for doing so. Blasting Stephen Ward for putting in a sub standard performance at a position which has now become unfamiliar to him.

Is that your plan? Its worse than Mick's plan which you seem so set on disliking.

Dont think selling jarvis now would be the best idea. At the start of the window, maybe, if the price was silly. We would have to replace him and we wouldnt have had enough time. If Hunts injury is serious and we sell jarvis then we are in the crap

He is still only young and there's a lot more improvement in him yet , i think we rely on him to much at times but with Hammil and O Hara now in we have other options

How many times has it been said on here? Konchesky can not play for another Premier League club this season. FIFA rules state you can not play for 3 teams in the same league in one season. He has played once for Fulham before he moved to Liverpool and played some more. Wasnt ever gonna happen.
