Do we actually have a post dedicated to his best quotes? I'd like to put some together for light hearted reading when the going gets tough

This is probably my favourite:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/audi ... olves-rant

And this:

Quote:
"Tiger Woods is apparently driving round Florida in an open-topped car singing 'There's Only One Mick McCarthy. ...

Quote:
Reporter: "How big a player will Matt Jarvis be for Wolves this season?"
Mick McCarthy: "About 5ft 8 like last season."

Quote:
"At the moment we've got 16 first team players. My initials stand for Mick McCarthy, not Merlin the Magician."

Quote:
"Nice old Wolves, come up put on a show but don't upset the apple cart. It annoys me."

Quote:
“And it will be a long time before I’d want to be playing in the Europa Cup I can tell you. If we ever look like getting in the Fair Play League I’ll be going down tackling somebody down in the tunnel!”

:sm :sm :sm

Quote:
"I don't like to hear any manager getting hostility. But I'd prefer it to be him than me so, no, to be honest I don't give a flying flute. I can empathise with him, I've been there, but 'sympathy' is not the word. Look it up in the dictionary, it's between shit and syphilis"

Quote:
"I've had some fragments of bone removed from the ankle and I checked and I don't think they belong to me. They are probably from some poor centre forward from the 1970s!"

Quote:
After the 6-0 loss to Southampton:

"Was that a one off Mick?"
"I f*cking hope so!"

Quote:

You can make 'Stupid Stuff Mick Says' if you want (although I don't see how it'd be much different  )

Second vid - he was right on both counts.

It looked to me as if he wanted to thump the interviewer.

I thought we'd lose Doyle but confident we'd keep Fletch and Jarvo unless silly offers were made to us and them. Just hope he does the business for us this season.

There's a few things Mick says here. I liked the article as a whole so have posted the link in full. A good read imo.

"What am I going to do about it? Go and top myself or hang myself, or throw myself off my bike into the canal? No, I keep working to turn it around and get the right result on Saturday. And if we do then it will be a much brighter place." Mick McCarthy calls for perspective.

McCarthy hopes Wolves can produce "an up-and-at-them underdog performance" against City, although it is a fair bet that he will not be getting carried away if "Super Mick McCarthy" is reverberating around Molineux at any point. "I always said that Super Mick was an anagram of something else," the Wolves manager said. "I think I said at the time that it was big nose wanker. I'm not quite sure that is an anagram of that but you knew what I meant when I said it."

what a guy
