New deal for Doherty, who was into his last year. Now 2018, with an option.

Love the idea that at 26 his best years are to come yet Stearman was effectively past it

Only got a 2-year contract which at the end of it would make him the same age as Stears without the years option.

Updated the OP. This leaves

Boukari 2016
Carter 2016
Golbourne 2016
Hunte 2016
Leacock-McLeod 2016
McAlinden 2016
McCarey 2016
O'Hanlon 2016
Rainey 2016
Reid 2016
Rowe 2016
Sigurdarson 2016
Weeks 2016

Is Golbourne vulnerable? Siggy, McAlinden and Boukari all leaving, surely? Most of the others get short contracts, imo.

Henry and McDonald signed new contracts, and the skipper is back for the Preston game. Hopefully things are going to start improving now,

Hopefully so, Frank. The season starts here.

Added Niall Ennis. Three year contract that begins when he turns 17 in May, so I've put it down as 2019, although it could possibly mean 2018.

Probably the best news of the last few weeks. A real talent, and could be mighty. We needed to ensure that if we DON'T make Prem in next couple of years, at least we will get money....

The best decision the club have made, since they decided to rebuild a perfectly good Stan Cullis stand

I'd like to think the new contract has been signed, for footballing reasons.

Protects our investment, we can get a bigger fee when we sell him

The irony is, Stearman was sold for the footballing reasons that Iorfa, Hause and co, were ready to step up. I can't wait until Kenny says Iorfa is being sold for football reasons. I might go down to Compton and call him a lying spotty frog.

I know a couple of Fulham fans who don't rate Stearman at all. And I know it's the best method of comparison, but whoscored has Stearman as the 79th best central in the Championship this season, ranking below Ethan Ebanks-Landell, Mike Williamson, Dan Burn (Stearman's defensive partner) Kortney Hause and Danny Batth.

I can well believe he was sold for footballing reasons, he wasn't worth what Fulham paid for him

Tis a paradox, but I stand corrected

I am astonished by that outcome but whilst I'll acknowledge that it's hard to challenge the stats, they are only his stats playing for them and not playing for us. Such are the intricacies of the transfer system; sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. He probably wasn't worth the money to them that they paid but he was possibly worth more to us than the money we received.
