Telford won 0-2. Reid won the pen for the first goal. They remain bottom. There are rumours that some clubs might be in enough financial difficulties that Telford might escape even if they finish in the drop zone. Not likely if they finish bottom though.

Watched the last 15 or so.

Reid seemed decent, showed good strength on one break to shoulder charge a defender out off the ball, before providing a great pass to set up a sitter for another player who inexplicably missed. He also had one decent run and shot which the goalkeeper saved. There were a couple of misplaced passes including one straight out of play under no pressure and with options around him.

As a player he doesn't look particularly fast but seems to have an excellent touch and is good with the ball at his feet. Showed good strength on a couple of occasions and not afraid to mix it. He looks like the type of striker that will drop deeper and get involved with play rather than making runs off the shoulder of the last defender.

From what I saw he looks decent, hard to say if he will make it though due to the level he was playing at and the little I saw of him.

Excellent, thank you.

Telford away at Dover today. Reid starts.
Chesterfield at home to Walsall, Flatt and Carter both on the bench.
Cassidy on bench for Southend, who play Bury.
Saville on bench for Bristol City v Barnsley.
Fleetwood play tomorrow. No game for Wigan or Blackpool. I think that's the lot.

Chesterfield got a vital 1-0 win over Walsall to keep the play-offs very much attainable. Neither of our players figured.
Bristol City drew 2-2 with Barnsley. Our lad didn't get on.
Telford lost 1-0 at Dover. Reid played the whole game. If they won all five remaining games they could get out of the drop zone on goal difference. They are down, unless teams get relegated for financial reasons and this somehow saves them.
Southend's game at Bury was put back twenty minutes in the hope that the rain would clear. This didn't happen, and the game was postponed. Horrible for any fans who had made the long trip.

Fleetwood play PNE today in a big local derby. McAlinden not in the squad. Probably a knock?

Flatt didn't get on, but Chesterfield got a huge win. Just 0-1, but both teams are after a play-off spot and now Chesterfield are in the frame.

Leon played the first hour at Middlesbrough.
Saville played the last ten or so of Bristol City's 1-1 draw at Oldham.
Liam didn't get on.
Jake Cassidy played just a shade under half an hour at the end of Southend's 2-0 win over Mansfield.

Bolton v Blackpool: Jacobs starts for the visitors (as does O'Hara, who has been out for a while).
Swindon 0 MKD 3 was an early kick-off. :o Ricketts played an hour. 0-1 when he was subbed off.
Telford v Kiddy: still awaiting team news.

Reid starts for Telford, who will be mathematically down if they fail to win or Alfreton avoid defeat at Wrexham.

9' - The on loan Wolves man races clear, latches onto a through ball and rifles it past Ben Amos. Get in!

Blackpool twitter. I wonder if he is playing more centrally now.

As soon as they sub him off, they score. 1-0 Telford lead. Alfreton losing 3-0.

Telford game 1-1, confirming they are down.
Blackpool game also finished 1-1. Late equaliser (90th minute). Not mathematically down yet, but almost. Jacobs played the whole game.

Blackburn kept alive their mathematical play-offs chance by beating Leeds 0-3.

Looks like he was playing as striker there

  • "Defensive blunder by Davies for the goal, his header misdirected, falling short for the ‘keeper and Reid nips in, nudges it past gk&finishes" - Telford twitter. Reid also got an assist, I think. Telford won 0-3.
  • Leon played the first 75 of Wigan 0 Derby 2.
  • Southend won 0-1 at Hartlepool, with Cassidy playing the first 68 minutes.
  • Fleetwood won 4-0, but McAlinden only got the last few minutes.
  • Flatt didn't get off the Chesterfield bench.

Bristol City 3 Swindon 0: Ricketts played the whole game for the visitors, Saville stayed on the bench for the hosts.
Blackpool 1 Reading 1: Jacobs played the whole game, and the Blackpool goal was scored by a former employee of ours, from the penalty spot.

Highlights of the Southport v Telford match. Reid is the number 30: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KcTuz1eYlJA The frame-rate seems poor; there's a jerkiness to the pictures that I found unpleasant.

3.10 Very lucky not to concede a pen. I'm confused about what the ref actually gives.
10.40 Takes his goal well enough.
13.45 Assist for the second goal.
14.30 Booked for an off-screen incident with the goalie.
15.40 Assist for third goal.

Saville on bench for Bristol City, who can clinch promotion today if they win and MKD lose.
Interesting game for Cassidy, who starts for Southend v Tranmere, the club he was most successful at.
McAlinden on bench.
Ricketts starts for Swindon.
No news from Chesterfield yet.

Flatt on bench for Chesterfield away at Barnsley, still no Carter. He was tweeting about being ill for almost the whole month a few days ago.
Reid starts for Telford.
I think that's all now.

Cassidy starts, Saville, Flatt and McAlinden on bench. I think I read somewhere that Wigan have sent Clarke back to us. No Telford game tonight.
