Cheers, managed to see the last two. Bit of a dead game from then but a very professional display nonetheless.

Leeds fans are very generous and active when it comes to "sharing". There were always going to be options with a bit of searching through their forums.

First-half brilliant. Second-half a bit shakey but still a joy to watch at times. This is a team with massive potential. Massive.

Let's hope so.

My concern is that we make sure we pick up our best loaned players in January.

I would love us to bring in a few other players as well. Let's hope our position encourages Fosun to open the check book.

The skill by Jota to keep the ball under control while running at pace for our 3rd. Wow.

The goals coming from so many different people, is probably the most encouraging aspect of our challenge for the top - yes the defence is impressive, yes the passing is nice and the pace with numbers when on the break is great to watch - but dare I say, that I would almost be happy if we don't get in players or even a player (aka Johnson) at January, who might burst this team/group bubble that we are in at the moment - almost Leicester-esque. These guys are showing they can do it, and that they want to do it - why don't we let them do it!

Very good point TStarr. I totally understand where you are coming from but we are not even half way yet and have been quite lucky with injuries. That said, I feel our possession football is helping us on the injury front, we look in control and arenot chasing around like headless chickens. We built up a healthy lead and were able to take off key players. It really is very rosy in the garden.

I definitely think we need another striker. I know the goals are coming from everywhere, but we need cover for Bonatini. Bright is a skilful lad, but not the goal-getter we need.

I thought some of the things Ivan Cavaleiro was doing last night was sensational, strength, balance, awareness, skills. Unplayable.

I never want to take this team for granted because they certainly get you out of your seat more than any time I can remember.
Near full house last night and at times during the first half the whole place was rocking.

What a joy, superb stuff.

I mocked your goal-frenzy prediction Knocker, but you weren't far off. Cav was superb first half, but Jota and Boly were top-class all night too. I think the second half was looking interesting after they scored a great goal, but the deserved sending off ended the contest.

Nuno the King!

Cavaleiro has gone under the radar for me due to the exploits of Jota and Bonatini but I think he has been brilliant this season from what I've seen.

I've been enjoying reading about how massive Leeds are and how we only won because we spent 100 million quid this summer, keep it up boys

It wasn't cold but it was wet and windy so supporters think the foreigners passed the acid test.

Yes they did but what did fail on the night was the system.

The victory was born from individual quality within Wolves ranks plus Leeds 5 plus 5 fallibility.

The extra wet playing surface and windy conditions rendered the key qualities in Wolves 3-4-3 at times ineffective.
The wing back positions must have been a nightmare to play because the weather conditions placed a massive strain on the long diagonal ball into wide positions.

Difficult to measure for the passer of the ball, especially difficult to control while moving forward.

So both Douglas and Doherty had to check their forward movements, with earlier passing into central midfield.
Fortunately for Wolves the Leeds front five did little more than token tracking leaving the space for Wolves forwards to pick up and run.
And that they did to great effect.

Towards half time though a few Leeds players twigged how they could be effective.

Short passing in numbers through central midfield.

At half time with the score at 2-0 the next goal was pivotal.

Wolves score an early third and your looking at six, Leeds score and its game on.

And so it proved until the Leeds lad saw red, unfortunate really because that lad was starting to dominate the second ball and 50/50 challenges.

From that point against ten Wolves cruised home.

Yes, KK, Vieira was controlling things second half early on and his dismissal sealed the game for us. However, we were far better than them most of the game, despite the awful conditions and first half Cavaleiro was unstoppable, he ran at them, though them and past them. Jota also was exceptional and Boly was his usual dominating, powerful self. Not seen such quality football at the Mol for decades...the reporter from the Mail said: " Wolves took 15 minutes to pop the cork on their champagne football" and also: " Some of their play is a cut above that often seen in the Premier League." Praise indeed.

It's just different isn't it? I am one of those who struggles to shrug off all the years of disappointment and let down and still have a tendency to think pessimistically. However, when Jota set off for that 3rd goal I knew with certainty he was going to score - I don't usually feel that way.

Great strike from Douglas and Cavaleiro was fantastic. Now for Bolton - we can't possibly get 6 point from 2 home games in 4 days can we? It never happens - and yet...

You need to get talking to yourself in that MIRROR and fight this ingrained pessimistic tendency. Of course, we shouldn't be cocky as we will lose now and again, but not that often and we should approach every game as supporters with that winning frame of mind.

Who would have thought that we would come away from Man City without a good thrashing. The forum has quietened down considerably since we started playing well and winning as it is part and parcel of life to be negative, even EMBERS has gone quiet as nothing much to moan about anything surrounding the Wolves at the moment. :D

Moscow, the recent fantasy football at the Molineux has resulted in Embers being constantly on the piss. I’m sure he will be back, but at the moment there is too much celebrating to be done.

You sure you didn't leave him behind in Cologne or is he having trouble getting his Leder Hosen off?

Girth Mate, that is what it is all about. We've been relegated to the fookin Sticky sub-forum already; some quick fingered MOD's about no doubt.

They didn't used to call me a speedy left back for nothing. In fact, they never called me a speedy left back.
