interesting draw.

Interesting to see what teams both sides field. Is it worth a journey to perhaps see two 2nd XIs??

Hmmm.... My mate lives in Southampton though.... Decisions, decisions...!

Anyone know when these tickets go on sale ?, I also live in Southampton and was told 'thru the grape vine' that this game is a sell out for Wolves supporters, I've been checking the OS and have seen nothing at all.

I think in the next couple of days. Had to wait for tickets to be printed & sent, I suppose. Doubt it'll be sell-out even for our tremendous supporters. Midweek for a cup that no-one knows what sort of teams both sides will put out makes it one for the real die-hards...

Cheers, Cally, I think I will go as it is only an hours drive from where I live, so a no-brainer really, even if the line ups turn out to be second string or whatever.

Sold out, by the looks of things. Just tried to get a ticket and none left, other than 10 for wheelchairs and carers.
Hopefully, the club will apply for more tickets.

rather odd that they have "sold out"..I have been online around a half hour ago and purchased two tickets. It stated that there were 182 tickets left when I ordered mine. Have another try, asap and you may be lucky.

I would play those who were on the bench against Cardiff with Bright the only starter from the Cardiff game to get a start at Southampton.

Thats because I would bench him against Brentford and start Cavaleiro, so those two would get an hour.

My selection would be.

-------------------------------Norris-----

-------------Bennett---------Batth----------Hause

Graham-----------------Price------Ronan----------------Vinagre

----------------Bright-----------------------Cavaleiro--

-------------------------------Dicko.

I want three points on Saturday.

So long as we have no injuries and no sendings off and we acquit ourselves reasonably well I'll be happy.

I will be at the game, only an hours drive from Swindon, so a no brainer for me, irrespective of what teams get put out.

Do you think that back line 3 can play out from the back and if so, to whom? I have no idea how Price and Rohan would play in your midfield and how the ball is going to reach your front 3 either. On paper, it looks to me like a losing side even against a Saints second team.

Interesting that, KK, we will see what is announced an hour before kick off. Are Marshall and Edwards both fit now..?? Mason has gone out on loan to Burton Albion today, so he won't be around to play.

I had already revised my goalscorer prediction based on KK's team. It seems he has insider knowledge :-)

Mason has had the odd good game, but never really lived up to the hype. Maybe the hype was generated by Moxey, and was false, along with the unusually leaked £4 million transfer fee!

Hope KK is right about Marshall, it would be great to have him available again.

There's no way we paid any more than 2 million for Mason tops.

Jez liked leaking the MAXIMUM possible fees, i.e. if Mason scores 25 goals a season we pay another 500k, and if we get promoted in that season we pay another 500k, none of which were ever likely to occur. I don't think Jackett even wanted him in the first place, given he vanished from the team pretty quickly after signing.

But it let Jez parade around "4 million spent on new striker", what more can fans ask...

That cock-sucker will always make my piss boil. When I think of all the money he took out of Wolves, and the kick-backs on deals, and the way he installed his wife on the catering side. So many wasted years...

Anyway, back to the original thread. Can't say I'm too hopeful, looking at that line-up, and Southampton are strong at home, regardless. Funny, I see Mick put the kids out last night, and as usual, his team made an immediate exit from the cup. Good old Mick

If he had gone 4-4-fookin 2 with that line-up, we might have won. All I see is a stalemate on 90 minutes and whoever wins in extra time is anyone's guess.

If Dicko could hit a cow's arse with a banjo it might help :(

Surely Marshall would be better in the wing back position?

Sounds like we're at 6s and 7s in defence.

We've done well to keep it at 0-0 but they've got a strong bench.

Dicko's misses (not missus, by the way 8) ) could prove costly.
