Can't say it wasn't deserved to be honest. They've pulled off their gameplan perfectly, we can't get going.

Mendes at the match. Hopefully he's got a striker up his sleeve.

Wolves will learn more from this match, others will do exactly what Cardiff have done to today.

We've had 65% possession according to BBC final score, and nothing to show for it.

Shit.

Time to unveil plan B. Cardiff far more likely to score the next goal.

Fuck me, all the fannying around with the keeper wasting time and we're not even set to deal with the kick!

Regardless of the ref, we haven't been good enough. Not enough chances created and shaky defending all through. Cardiff were on top from the first minute.

Spot on. This is a physical league and from the start it was like we were taken by surprise. We need to do better than that. Yes, there were moments when we took the game to them, but tbh they could have won by a greater margin. Work to be done.

4 goals conceded in 2 games is a worry as well.

Me too. And I hate losing to Cardiff. I actually dislike them a lot. Love watching Swansea beat them.

Smacks of a lack of research or understanding by our coaches. Everyone knew Warnock would have them come out and hit us hard from the first seconds, we seemed surprised by it though!

Really disappointing to immediately only have a 50% win record at home. I had hoped we could at least make Molineux a fortress again. Already turned over on our own patch by a team that probably won't be top 6 come May.

We've only played two games at the Molineux though, we haven't played enough at home to worry yet and that percentage can easily be changed by one result. We also don't know where Cardiff will finish so I'm not going to get disheartened just based on a guess on where they'll finish in May.

3rd place. Still above the mythical promotion average (which is bullshit) and 1 point below the 08/09 Comparison. Some might say that out of this loss our European players now know what to expect from really physical English chump sides and can better prepare themselves for it but tbh I would have preferred three points. No doubt a lot of managers will be taking note of this too and will tinker with their tactics when they face us.

I still think this is our year though. As someone said on this site the other day: nobody goes 46 wins in this competition. The question is; what can we learn from it?

Takes away the fear factor for teams coming to Molineux though. "Well, if Cardiff won there, we can too..."

Just about sums it up for me

We'll always have that play-off final though.
