On the road again this weekend as Wolves head to Brentford where a football match may break out after last weeks nonsense.

Dean Smith being the polar opposite of Neil Warnock wanting to play a beautiful game, they might even have the ball more than us.

Still if Wolves convert their chances they should win convincingly.

Two changes for me,
Ruben Vinagre to debut in place of the not fully fit Barry Douglas, with Ivan Cavaleiro restored for Bright Enobakhare.

If Douglas is not fit enough to start, Vinagre is fine with me, he played very well at Saints in midweek, especially in the first half. Not sure if Bright will get replaced by Cav......but it will hopefully be a fast flowing football game and I tip a draw.

Again if Douglass is not fit then fine play Vinagre..I'd play Cavaleiro over Bright, just as a greater goal threat.
I'd replace Miranda but I can't see that happening yet.

I got excited during the build-up to the Cardiff game so I'm keeping an even keel on this one. Still looking forward to it, mind. 8)

Looking at the H2H stats...

Brentford wins: 41

Wolves wins: 38

Time to even up those numbers.

I've got a 3.5 hour train journey... from only about 70 miles away! Madness!! But at least I can read paper, do crossword.... and sleep on way back, contentedly!

Looking forward to an entertaining game, and hopefully a good win to get us back on track!

Brentford play decent football so it will be 2 similar type teams. But I fancy Wolves to come out on top of most games when we come up against a team trying to play the same way we are.

A Jota on both sides and they could both be the games stand out players.

The feeling of anticipation among Wolves fans feels different this time around.

A big game today.

How many false dawns have we had, where a good run of wins has come crashing to an end with a home defeat against a team who haven't won for 17 games....???

Today is a test. Brentford are not a bad side, but have few points. Exactly the sort of game we have stumbled in before.

Will the NEW Wolves - the NES Wolves - revert to type, or gove us a performance to be proud of?

Excited! Off to the station in a few minutes....!

Silver, four reasonably friendly pubs at each corner of the ground and several fantastic kebab shops on the Ealing road walking towards the tube, and fans standing terrace, whats not to like eh?.
Well, ambling away from the ground on a cold November evening after watching your team get ripped a new un 4-0 by a decent low budget footballing side smarts I tell thee.

Brentford in a right mess this season, interesting if Brentford copy Cardiff's game plan.

Local one for me but will be giving it a miss this season.

Will Dean Smith resort to such tactics? I'm hopeful of a good game of football, and a Wolves victory. Be interesting to see the starting XI...

Nearly right, Vinagre in but Enobakhare keeps his place

Evening lads. Watching on Wolves TV. Hoping for a good match. Last match I watched was Cardiff so hoping we can put in a better showing tonight. Nuno certainly needs a plan for dealing with the more physical teams and I am sure he has one up his sleeve. COYW. Hope the other results go our way too.

Whats left on everyone's shopping list before the window shuts? I would like to see a striker come in and a solid defensive midfield enforcer who can pass the ball well for times we play those more physical sides.

Douglas injured, so down to one proper left back, that's still one more than the last couple of seasons though

Bees had a real good bit of possession there.

We look alright when we go forward, but we do look a little shaky in our own third which is not good given that is where we are spending most of our time. Our passing looks great but Brentford look more of a unit. More together. Early days I guess.

Giving the ball away way too cheaply. Had some good opportunities in front of their goal though. Need that top striker the media is on about.

Come on Wolves, don't slack off today. Two week rest after this.

How do we bring in Neves and Jota and still let Saiss take free kicks!? He's never even got close to scoring a goal for us.

FFS locked into our third again and they are off the post.

We need to make our passes count at both ends of the pitch. Otherwise we will let too many in this season. C'mon Wolves. Sort it out.

Not much improvement compared to the Cardiff game.
