As bad as England :(

Brilliant effort though - hope some of those who'l be playing at QPR are ready to go again. Realistically, we should have won it with Bright.

Players ran themselves into the ground and f#ck all to show for it.

Thank you Bright.

Hope this doesn't affect our performance at QPR.

Sometimes you get just one chance, he had more. Still, super show from our lads, and well done Nuno, but most of all, those 6,000+ who supported them :clap2 :clap2 :clap2

The last thing we need to do is start bagging individual players after a massive team effort like that. Their keeper is no mug. Sure, would have been brilliant for one of the chances by Bright, Costa or Ronan to be converted but no one is going to be feeling more gutted than them. Hopefully it will provide the inspiration for them to continue to improve and take those chances when they present themselves in the league. The whole squad can hold their heads high.

Well, we showed the neutrals that we are coming home and with our key players absent it shouldn`t have any adverse affects.
Ruddy must be looking over his shoulder too.

Many teams struggle at City and yet Wolves did us proud
The biggest plus of the run in the league cup, is Norris

And once again Nuno showed himself to be our biggest asset.

A terrific effort by all concerned. We are a club going forward together. Owners, players, management, staff and fans pulling together and giving us the momentum to succeed. Exhilarating stuff.

Pep blames the ball used for his team's struggle against Wolves.

Is that all he's got?

That could very well be the game. The game that changes the club. A realisation how good they are, how hard they are going to work to achieve it.

This goes especially for Bright. He was for me, the best player on the pitch. Builded man city, ran them on his own, got his head up and made some amaxing passes I didn't know he had in his skill set. Worked so hard off the ball it was amazing to watch. That is the game he realises that he is good enough to play some of the best in the world and make them scared of you. Nuno will make him see that and I have no doubt Coady and Batth will too.

Not bad are we, and our lot will be bitterly disappointed to have been knocked out such is the winning mentality within the club.

Fantastic for the fans. We move on.

Well done Wolves.

Looked like the plan was to bring on Miranda to take a penalty... but the ball stayed in play for the last 2 minutes!

I would have thought Cav should've been up to take one ASAP. He did score his only pen for us to date. I had zero expectation of Coady converting.

A time to celebrate a glorious team performance, not start carping at individual players.

As for the 'he's not good enough' comment re Bright, were you not watching the game??

Bright was superb in CREATING chances for himself, and made a world class defence look positively pedestrian.

Ok, so he's not yet deadly in the box, but he's young, he;s learning, and he's hugely talented. I am sure Nuno and team will help him get that extra clinical edge.

A GREAT performance from ALL the lads. A squad to be proud of!

Reports emerging that both Arsenal and City broke the substitutes rule in extra time. An inquiry follows, apparently.

It happened in other rounds as well. As I see it you can use the fourth sub in extra time, if you haven't already used all your subs you can use them as well.

It's a Mitre.

It would have to be regulation size and weight, oh and shape  , but they do seem to act differently these days.

Couple of reports around saying City could be disqualified or be made to replay game after breaking ET sub rules...it's a long shot #wwfc

3 subs are allowed in 90 mins and 1 additional sub in ET...not 4 subs total (City last night made 2 and 2)...Arsenal did the same vs Norwich.

Leroy Sane and Kyle Walker came on after 90 mins, by rules, only 1 additional sub is allowed.

So, City win and the ball is shit..would it still have been shittier if they had lost..?? Total rubbish. There is more mileage in the fact that the squirrel on the pitch before the game, crapped on the penalty spot where N'Diaye slipped on when taking his penalty...replay the game....unfair advantage to City... 8)

They didn't complain about it after victories in the previous rounds so if the ball is at fault then that's why we lost the penalty shoot-out.

There's no way that both Arsenal and City will be disqualified for several obvious reasons. 8)

It's one way of removing his team from a competition that he thinks is a waste of time.
