An opportunity to play football.

You can be sure the referee in this game ALLOWS both teams the opportunity to play.

Costa having an opportunity to move forward his confidence levels by having grass to run in to.

Could be a cracker and fun at the same time, dont back against Wolves.

Nothing to be afraid of as if we lose as one might well expect then, no shame as long as the team have a go, play some football and do their best.

I just wouldn't wish us to get swamped and demoralise the team. No idea what line-up Nuno will select for this game, I think Costa is a fair bet to start as he needs game time and as you say, the opportunity to play his game on a level playing field.

No idea how Citeh will approach the game either as it is the Mickey Mouse Cup after all and they've the Champions League, Premier League and the more important F.A. Cup to contend with albeit, I don't expect them to set-up to lose.

We'll have good vocal support as usual so who knows what might happen during those 90+5 minutes.

Anyone going by train will have to leave at half time or be stuck in Manc until the next day.

That might well be about right albeit, I'm guessing some of the usually selected squad will want to play too.

Have to ask, is Willy Boly fit, if not where is he?

While I am sure there will be a change or two - I think we are going to go for it. So I can't see there being a great deal of changes. I think we will put forward a strong Wolves side and really have a go. Nothing to lose in this one.

We can be sure this coach has planned this weeks training with the long term view in mind with any hindrance to the QPR preparation minimised.

Its a tough balance for the coach does he have to take into account the fans emotional involvement or does he get his players bang on for the weekend.

We trust this coach to get it right.

Massive ten days ahead after tonight's game. I'm sure Numo is well prepared.

Does he take his full squad? Doesn't have to start them all but it would show them what they're playing towards.

'Here you are, lads, all this could be yours'.

Looks feasible Knocker, although I have heard (bloke in the pub) that Coady and Batth will play.

We shall see. I expect us to score tonight, that's all I will say about the result, ignoring the prediction league that is :-)

I hope we don't take too much of a beating tonight, I'm not very optimistic about this one :(

Yeah. Man City played a pretty strong team last round, we might stand a chance with a full team but if we also make changes....

Even their second choice 11 is Premier League title standard, I think Man City could win everything if they sort out their defence which is a crumb of comfort as I think we score tonight but go down 3-1

I agree with KK that the team will show mass change - but still be a better side than we often fielded lat year! Not sure Boly/Hause/Bennett is wise, since there is so little game time, and they will be rusty. Might well start with Batth/Coady, since defenders seem to benefit from regular games, whereas MF & F seem to tire & become jaded....

They'll be plenty of changes.

There's little likelihood that Jota, Cav or Neves will have travelled. Costa and Marshall will be there for fitness. If they're ready Hause and Bennett will probably be involved too.

Are you Nuno in disguise?

Looks like a keep the score down evening, still at least there should be a stream for me to watch.

Think someone with a bit more nous would have put that one away, but credit to him for creating the chance in the first place. We could do with keeping possession for spells to relieve the pressure. That away support is excellent.

1st half survived at least. Unfortunately Bravo chose tonight to make probably the first save of his City career.

I watched it again and Bright didn't do much wrong and created the chance himself. Mybe took it with his wrong foot, but the keeper did well.

Following on 5Live Extra. So far so good.

Whatever happens now, we have shown we can live with this company. A reserve team of ours is holding a phenomenally talented Man City. Even if they score 3 in last 25, I'll be happy.

Commentators really impressed with quality of our defending - staying on feet and reading game well.

Developing into a good night (and Palace losing 4-1 to Bristol City shows that there may be big differences between top 5 in Prem, but rest are nothing to fear if we go up.

Keep 'em out lads!!
