Still need 10 points from the next 12 for our current crop to have bettered the halfway tally posted by McCarthy's team #keepourfeetontheground

This game will be very hard, the Blues will play like Cardiff did against us, are we now street-wise and up for a bruising game..?? We should beat them on our current form but in derby games, form can go out of the window. I tip a hotly contested draw.

I have a bad feeling about this one. Blooze will be up for this on their own patch and seem to be able to raise their game against the better sides. They've already taken points from Cardiff, Blades & Villa. Neves is a big miss for us also which will enforce our first change to the midfield for a while.

I'm expecting a stern test for our boys this evening. 1-1.

Really looking forward to this one.
I've been so impressed with what I've seen this season from Nuno and the team, but I think this game may be the hardest so far.
Blues will be busting a gut to take us down no doubt.
This was the type of game, and time of year where I had reservations, same as last year,
but these players and Nuno are well into what is expected, and a win would not surprise me.
Am I a believer, unfortunately, too many years of false dawns, but I'm not far away.
PLEASE DO NOT LET DAVID DAVIS SCORE AGAIN.

Jota on the end of some rough stuff from Brum Thugs; one of theirs in the Book already and was lucky not to get a straight Red IMHO.

BTW - WOO HOO - Bonatini.

Need the second goal quickly, one goal is never enough. Bit sloppy at times but well on top, need to score again and kill the game.

Trying too hard.

Got the tree points but a disappointing game really.

3 points gained is the best comment on that game tonight, other than " I day pay to watch it"

Didn't enjoy the 2nd half much. Had a feeling one shot on target would've been an equaliser.

Well, another three points grounded out. Second half wor pretty though. Thought we were showboating a bit first half, should have finished `em off.

Comfy first half, too comfortable as we were wasteful with our final ball, very poor second half, just wasn't coming off for us and our passing game was way off, missed Neves more than I thought we would. Cavaleiro going off made more difference than Gleeson coming on like the commentators were making out, thought Costa was gash.

Playing poorly and winning is the stuff of champions, a clean sheet, 3 points, 10 points clear of 3rd

Well a win is a win and no matter how many we score there are going to be some 1-0 grinds this season.

We really missed having a midfield player who can just drop the ball at the foot of a wing back or striker. How many times did we hear "a rare long ball from Wolves"?

Just goes to show how much we depend on Neves. If he was injured against a thug team like Cardiff it could really give us a lot of problems. No offence to our current lads trying to get into the squad but I really hope someone who can pass the ball well comes in to give us some backup in midfield.

Birmingham certainly gave us a headache in the second half. I got the impression the squad over-tried a lot, especially Costa, who did not do his case for a start any favours.

But three points is three points and certainly there are some lessons to learn from the match and no doubt Nuno will take something away from the match.

So happy with the win, but were not there yet.

Complacency set in after a very easy first half. Nuno will address that I am sure. That second half was awful, maybe the worst 45 mins we have performed all season, hardly any real possession and gave it away far too often. That said, a win is a win, however gained and Ruddy had nothing to save all game.

Scrappy finish to the game, but we weren't really troubled by them. 3 points...

We march on. COYW!

Another poor away performance, thankfully Blues were totally impotent. Still a win's a win, and a derby win is always a sweet result.

An ugly win, a poor second half performance, BUT Wolves NEVER looked in any real danger of dropping any points.
Another 3 points gained and it is looking good, no doubt Nuno will say we need to improve!

Not sure how we lost our way in the second half, as we let Blues have the ball, and they grew in confidence, yet we still had a few good chances to finish them off.

I remember this Ref from a game at Molineux earlier this season, not sure which game, might have been Brizzle, but tonight his decision making was a mixed bag. Roberts should have had a straight red for the assault on Jota, but N'diaye should have gone for the same red as was given to Dean.

3 points, clean sheet, we move onto Sunderland.

I was fully confident that we would be too good for Brum, but expected some thuggery and just happy that no serious injuries were sustained by our Lads.

Brum need to sort their seating out as the stadium looked empty even though there were 19k there, but how many did we take as I thought it was a poor turnout for a derby game whether live on tv or not.

Talking in Knocker speak, I just love the angles this Wolves side create and the speed with which they can move the ball around leaving the opposition chasing shadows. Some sublime football tucked away in that 94 minutes - at one point first half, Jota jinxed his way out of THREE Brum defenders around him leaving them all for dead. Saiss and someone else playing keepy uppy on the edge of our 18 yard box and still getting the ball out of defence and passed up field.

This side is fookin good and the gap in points and quality of football is beginning to show - of course, I accept that we will drop points, but if it is less than our rivals then, we're already UP. I would love to kill of teams though when in control and then, I could win the Prediction League.

Still not overly sure about Bennett, but in Nuno I trust.

Nuno happy with the result but not the performance. Said we need to do better , and the players acknowledge that.
Ain't it great to be on 47 points, 10 clear of 3rd, but the team still needs to improve. Happy days.

We gained as many points this evening as we will for our most scintillating performance of the season.

Next.

It was a good substitution by Blues adding Gleeson to the midfield mix, by giving themselves a numerical advantage they were able to back us up.

Food for thought for Nuno when higher quality opponents do much the same.

We were so in control first half, quite literally strolling, that I was concerned we would struggle to manage if Blues upped the pace. Blues did improve, but the quality was poor and in Boly we have a master in taking the sting out of the game. A deserved win, but a second goal would have made for better viewing.
