These last two games have really shown just how much we miss Neves. We are not the same side without him. If he was to go at the end of the season we would struggle to replace him. If anything we need solid cover and I don't think we really have that yet.

Let's hope that's the goal that settles Afobe - he may yet be our man.

There were a couple of big 3-0 wins last night - would be nice if we could make a similar statement, or go one better!

A really good overall TEAM performance, not one player looks afraid to receive the ball. We are playing with confidence, I love it!

Big win. Calms the nerves. Played some lovely football.
Nuno will probably put the emphasis on finishing during training. Everything else is in place. If only we could finish as well as we create..........

A very assured performance with no sign of the nerves most of us were feeling. Yes, we ought to have taken a couple of chances earlier on but we were in control and showed far less of that sloppiness that had recently crept in.

"Spot on! I am still confident, but the nerves are there! Then again, no one EVER performs at their best without a bit of adrenalin.... We WILL get there, but perhaps not as convincingly as looked possible at one stage....
Be bold! Be confident!! Be positive!!!"
Just what was called for - and just what the boys delivered.
Ok - so our free-flowing football could and should have put us 3/4 up at half time (how DID Jota miss that... again!!??), but we looked so confident and positive from the start. Well done lads!!
Now off to Villa - and another 'Just Got Back' (redundant cos on TV) will follow!

Superb performance, the intensity was back for the first time since the Blades game and there was no letting up for the whole 90 minute.
We MUST take that standard into the Villa game now.

A really good performance and great for those of us who were wondering if we were starting to see the beginning of the collapse.
Three things ahead that will make our season.
Villa, Cardiff & Derby.
Win those and I think the rest of the results will see us Champions. Win two and I think the results will see us automatic at least.

All without Neves too. Thought N'Diaye was immense. Who do we drop vs Villa? tough bloody call.

SpaceMonkey wrote: All without Neves too. Thought N'Diaye was immense. Who do we drop vs Villa? tough bloody call. Saiss still sitting on 9 yellows with two games to get through, there was one long run in the first half (Dallas?) where you knew he wanted to foul but couldn't afford it. N'Diaye after that performance should retain the shirt anyway.

Very solid performance....everyone was good except Costa who still falls over too many times and loses every tackle.
ruddy, bonatini, Alf , Saiss all much improved.

Bonatini really showed today that he is struggling with confidence and I think Afobe deserves to have a start now. Use Bonatini as an impact player late in the game.

Leeds were gash, I mean really gash, but we got a win we really needed to calm the nerves, and Fobes notched...at last. On to Villa Park, with our peckers up.

Have to disagree - we look great with Bonatini - possession, chances, everything clicks - Afobe is the impact player for later in the game - Use Bonatini to establish dominance, set the pattern, get us working and in front (hopefully) - then change it. Would be insane to change how good we looked in first 60 minutes last night.

And me.
Without Bonatini we look far less 'clever' in our build up play. Ok - so he needs a goal or two to regain confidence, but not his fault Jota has started missing for fun. In the last 10 games, I'd be happy with 3 goals from Bonatini, and 5 each from Jota and Cav, with 5 from impact subs: Costa, Afobe et al, and 4 from midfield and 3 from defenders. That's 25 in total. Should be enough.
