I can't find the sticky, so made my own post. 35 minutes in and we look a little better after 30 minutes of crap. I hope Raul comes on at half time.

Awful first half performance.

It's so obvious that when changes are made, it falls apart. Cav stands offside most of the time and Traore is dire, foul throws, useless crosses, ball miscontrols. Midfield has been absolutely anonymous.

Coady just 1 own goal off equalling the PL record for a season.

It's a shame Vinagre hasn't had the chance today if Nuno wanted to shake things up. Jonny has had a fair amount of the ball but cannot do anything in attack.

The game overall is midtable Championship stuff.

It sounds a bit dire. Are their minds on the Cup?

Half time. Unfortunate own goal when Chris Wood was played onside. We have not done much really and Burnley have looked comfortable in defence and not afraid to come forward. We had a brief spell around 35 minutes and then we went back to huffing and puffing to no effect.

Hopefully Nuno will change things up a bit for the second half. I would say put Raul on for Cav right away. Traore has actually put some pressure on them with most of our possession, but I think Doc is more likely to get the ball in the box at Raul's feed while Traore seems to want to outwit and cross which is great when it works but not so great when it doesn't - which is most of the time. I would say bring on Doc.

Hopefully Nuno can say what needs to be said to motivate the lads and put us in their faces in the second half. It would suck if we throw points away to another club at the ass-end of the table.

I think so. One thing is certain - play like this for the rest of the season (which I don't think we will do) and we will not finish seventh or win the cup.

City would rip us a new ass playing like this in the cup.

IF we come out and play our best we can turn it around. If we play like we did against Manure we would kick this lot - they look poor.

Actually the ref is a bit crap today as well - but I think he has been crap to both clubs, so no real loss there.

Looks like a change. We need it. Jota playing Burnley all by himself.

- Just as I say that we change up a gear.

Doc and Raul on for Donk and Cav.
Looks like a 3-4-3

Costa on for Traore

Hope he can make a difference because Burnley look comfortable.

First header on target at 74 minutes or around. Comfortable save.

Easy second goal for Burnley.

We look shit. Can't pass. Can't keep possession. Burnley are not even sitting back.

Said a lot that they had four up front just before the goal.

Awful fucking football today. Absolute rubbish to kick off the week. The might of James Tarkowski stopped every single Wolves player all game long.

1 win in 6 now, 7th is looking unlikely with our fixture list.

A wake-up call for the lads prior to the Manure match and the semi-final.

If we keep playing like this we will be overtaken by Watford AND Leicester. Need to get back to winning again.

Burnley certainly had moments where they parked the bus, but they were by no means sitting back. We were just not up to getting past them. Jota was probably our best player. Kept pressure on them the whole time. Traore did alright too - but I think he is very one dimensional and always tries the same things again and again: Run down the channel, stand still, try to round the player along the goal line and cross the ball. Too predictable.

Funny how we are so crap against the bottom teams and do well against the ones at the top.

Oh well. Onward we go. Consign that to the list of defeats within an otherwise highly successful season. Bring on Manure.

Our remaining Premier League fixtures are;

Manure(H), Saints (A), Brighton (H), Arsenal (H), Watford (A), Fulham (H), Liverpool (A).

Fighting to win the League & qualify for the Champions League - 1
Fighting to qualify for the Champions League - 2
Fighting for Europa qualification - 1
Fighting to stay in the league - 2
Nothing for pride - 1

An interesting mix with every club except one having something to fight for and the one that doesn't will do all they can to go down fighting.

Was a shit performance. Probably one of our worst. Up there with the Huddersfield pair.

Feared the worst when I saw no Raul and Traore starting. A rare defeat at Turf Moor.

We gave ourselves a mountain to climb by conceding a terrible goal straight away. Really really poor and changed the complexion of the game. Apart from a spell in the second half we were dragged into a very stereotypical 'English' game, which suited Burnley and not us.

We needed to impose our game on them, not try and beat them at their own game.
This did seem to be happening in the second half and we were comfortably on top, but somehow contrived to concede another poor goal just as we were looking likely to equalise.

We were much better than those Huddersfield outings and probably better than Burnley in general play, but they capitalised at the vital moments, whereas we just didn't seem quite sharp enough when it really mattered.

I'm not too down beat after this. Improvement is required if we want the next couple of games to go our way, but we know what we're capable of. We've just got to do it.

Same issues really then, goals win games, can't keep on harping on about strikers so looking at the table we have been caught by Everton and Leicester. Brendan is a very good manager and I can see them overtaking us, this was the game to aim for three points, can see Man U getting revenge on Tuesday.

Why have a go at Traore?

Every paper I read had him as the best Wolves player, or joint best with Jota.

Sounded like a pretty disappointing display, but the BBC messages were saying we were on top, and Burnley 'under the cosh' and hanging on for much of the second half....

Poor goal though. Sloppy start. Need to switch on right at start, and NOT give away silly needless fouls in the last third. Thought Patricio looked leaden footed for both goals. Did we go on a coach i the morning and not shake off the effects?

Regardless of how he plays as an individual he always makes us look worse.

One goal and one assist in twenty five games, we have only won three games he has played more than forty five minutes in, Newcastle away, Cardiff home and Spurs away. He was awful in the first and subbed in the last when we were one nil down and struggling.

It staggers me he is getting more than a super sub role, why isn't Vinagre getting the nod, or even Giles, if Doc needs a rest.
