The way Wolves are playing City could do to us what they did to Watford.

Are Wolves finding any answers to this dire form.

Maybe the International break gives our coaches time to have a rethink,

Forecast City 4 Wolves 0.

Hopefully Raul is already off for some R&R, give Cutrone a deserved start.

If Jota is passed fit to start, play him up top with Cutrone and leave Raul at home for rest and recuperation. He like a few others is running on empty. This can be a surprise away win, getting at the stand-ins at the heart of City's defence or a ten nil whitewash. I would settle now for a 3-0 loss. Put Elliot Watt on the bench and bring him on after an hour for big game experience, he's going to be some player. Watch his free kick stunner at Morecambe on club site video highlights, a proverbial postage stamp goal.

Needless to say, a incredibly tough game.

One major difference to our last 2 fixtures is that is here we are facing a team not in a depression, and perhaps even on very confident of racking up more goals, coming so soon after their 8-0 at home.

The loss of Jota will be very problematic as, even with our (recently) improved defensive shape, we still need some form of attack to avoid 90 minutes under the cosh. We did so well against the top teams last season with an excellent defensive shape being supplemented by Jota and Jimenez combining so well as a counter threat.

At present Raul looks shattered and Jota is absent. The other attacking options have not shown they can even unsettle opponents of this calibre.

A tough game, but one which the players can enter knowing they have a two-break Wolves break afterward so no excuse so not leaving everything out on the field.

At least 3 good chances in the first half an hour
Wolves playing a longer ball game, and putting pressure on their back 4

City have 70% possession and we should easily be 0-3 up by anyones reckoning. Its a good job Cutrone ay on trial or he would be heading back on Alitalia at about half five.

HOW MUCH do we miss Jota?

Plus Wolves have NO shots on target, and yet should be 3 up??

None of our summer signings are an improvement on last season squad, with Vallejo being by far the worst.
It looks like we brought for the sake of it, and losing Cavaleiro was a mistake.

Don't agree with Cutrone off, has defended from the front.

First time we have won in a top flight game at Man City, since 1979, when Steve Daley was in their side

Absolutely awesome :D

Even at 0-0 with half an hour to go I was already thinking this is our best performance all season long. You could finally recognise the team of last season again.. just a shame Cutrone was revealing himself to be the Italian Jake Cassidy.

That Traore would coolly convert two chances like that

Superb end before the international break and finally ahead of 1 PPG.

Stunned and proud. Great team performance, but Boly was imperious and two great assists from Jiminez.

I'm glad Adama showed that he can score. I understand all the arguments about him not fitting in with a team pattern of play but by god does he frighten defenders.

Cutrone can't do it right now but he looks threatening and scored a bundle in 2017/18. Maybe he just needs a couple of lucky ones to get him going. Remember Jota couldn't score to save his life until about this time last season and Jiminez took a bit if time to get going. Let's not write him off yet.

Who placed a bet on Wolves to win their last 2 away then? Just unbelievable - and I love it.

When we hit a sticky patch, Nuno always seems to find a way. Away to Besiktas and Man City in the space of four days, it was easy to fear the worst. Two wins and two clean sheets later and you wonder what all the fuss was about. Chuck in the Watford win as well and this was possibly a season defining week.

I still don't think we're even close to our best, which makes you wonder what we can achieve if we can step it up a bit.

Cutrone the only worry for me. Looks like a clogger with no left foot. Perhaps a lack of confidence, but he needs to show more than this if he's going to win over the fans.

Great result! Nuno has really done a lot of work with Traore and helped him expand his play into another dimension in front of goal. Fantastic to see. More, more, more!!!

His goals came from being in a central position which is a position he failed miserably at last autumn. It'll be interesting to see how we continue to use him because he looked a lot more composed playing there alongside Jimenez than Cutrone did.

At least it gives Nuno another option should there be a need during a suspension/injury/form etc affecting the other three front runners.

I wonder if Pep checked the roundness of the ball again?

Some City fans calling for him to be sacked …… fans? ha.

I guess it's a bit easier on the break against a team pushing forward hard for a goal and might not be so easy against those teams who come to defend. Both his finishes were good though and I hope he can continue with that. I understand those who want a nice passing game with everyone knowing where each other is and being ready to receive the ball but sometimes it's just exciting to see someone going on a run and beating players to create goals.
