Thursday night lights not far from the Danube as Wolves play another European tie.

Will Nuno be a modern day Napoleon and lay siege to Bratislava or hold back and retreat.

Forecast for this one.

Bratislava 1 Wolves 0.

It'll be tough there, they have a terrific home record and a stadium full of kids as spectators should be interesting too. Bennett has not travelled, so hopefully Saiss can start instead of Vallejo. A draw would be good, a win fantastic. Let's see how good Slovan may be. A night to dig in and defend manfully like at Citeh. Fingers crossed. I'm in Rome to watch Gladbach at AS Roma tomorrow. Over 5,000 away fans here, superb.

They've already played 24 games this season and have only lost 2 of them so they will certainly be confident of turning us over.

We need our midfield to show some bite in this one.. and the work experience kid to have a night off. Jota on from the start would be a big boost.

Interesting excitement over the inclusion of the 16 year old Chem Campbell in the travelling party.

Nuno wants him to 'get a feeling' of what it is like around the big boys. Took him to St George's Park for pre-season too.

Anyone got knowledge? Identified by Guardian as one of the top 20 youngsters as 'ones to watch'.

Also note that he hasn't yet signed professional contract, so Nuno may simply be dancing a carrot....!!

Seen too many wonder kids come and go, a fair many just big lads for their age.

We should have too much for the Slovaks.

Well done to the Slovaks getting around the ridiculous fan ban, UEFA shouldn't be politicising sport, I thought the Communists had been run out of Czechoslovakia thirty years ago.

Its certainly a region of the world that has seen ethnic cleansing through the centuries, but back to football.

Lets look for some positives within the performance.

Remember its an early ish kick off

I guess you are happy with racism being allowed at matches.

Huge believer in free speech. People should be allowed to protest immigration, or Greeks getting in to massive debt and having to be bailed out by the rest of Europe.

Wonder kid gets another chance to impress, apart from Braga hasn't for a long time. Interested to see what Kilman does.

Neves and Jota on please. Stretched game doesn't suit Cutrone, not enough pace. Vinagre needs to get his cross in quicker. Saiss a bit redundant.

Only fair we should also get a fortunate goal. When Vinagre finally put the ball in it is a cracker. Didn't see Kilman tested much, but looked very comfortable on the ball.

Well done.

Pleased with Kilman. Traore frightened them when he came on. Jota needs to keep cool and then keep his mouth shut.

Good result. Game of two halves really. MGW still underperforming at this level. Jota wants a kick up the arse for his daftness. Traore becoming a latent threat continually now regardless of his crossing ability he promotes cohesion in the attackers that no one else can, he allows Doherty to play to his strengths to.

We are either going to be very good this season or very bad? Vive le difference

Pedestrian first half. Poor goal.

I am afraid the world and his dog was right in demanding Traore and Jota, and we looked a different side. We just have no PACE without these two.

But even when 2-1 up, I noticed far too often that a MF had the ball, and Traore and Jimenez & Jota ALL static; no intention torun to make space for self - or others!

We REALLY have to work and work on the need to sprint up front - and NOT just when chasing down the opposition when their defenders have the ball.

And sorry to join the general moans, but yet again MGW gave us so little. I think his candle went out long ago. Some of us just peak too early, and i suspect he peaked about 18-24 months ago. For me he is the next Mark Davies - someone we THOUGHT would make it big, but will just slide down the leagues. A shame. He seems a nice lad.

Whereas Jota...!!! What a bonehead! Stupid!! Get booked (wrongly) and respond by diving into a challenge late 20 seconds after the re-start. I hope he gets fined a fortnight's wage. He seemed determined to get booked from the minute he went on. He shouts his mouth off at refs, so they are just LOOKING to 'get back' by finding an excuse. He should surely have learned by now. What games is he banned for? (Hopefully Villa in Carabao....!)

I think Jota's ban only applies to the Europa so he will miss the Bratislava return match.

Excellent second half.... The Wolves i like to see.

Observations.....
Sporar looked quite useful for them ...Cheeky bid ??
MGW... what does Nuno see that many of us don't?
Traore.....turning into money well spent.
My old eyes can't cope with green shirts on green grass

An abject first half... So, so sloppy. You could see that Bratislava were there for the taking, but we were just so poor with the ball. I've been saying it all season, we're routinely surrendering possession with hardly any pressure being applied.... Very worrying.

2nd half couldn't get any worse, and thankfully it didn't. We moved up into 2nd gear (that's all it took) and they had no idea how to handle Adama. But, this was a game we ought to have won at a canter. Bratislava are a poor team and would struggle in the Championship over here.

Jota, WTF.

And how come Jesus was missing, Easter was months ago?

He could try to make a new start around Christmas.
