Up for the Cup are we?
Or just trying to recover from the festive season.
Games against United always seem eventful with massive in game swings.
It could go either way with Wolves needing the fans right behind them.
No Jota today so I presume young Neto will keep his place.
Forecast, to close to call so will give that a swerve.

Suspect Ole desperate for win & good cup run; Nuno not want cup run in Feb, but wants to halt losing streak.... Will be interesting to see strengths of sides they put out. All the injuries in last week show folly of players being over-stretched. Does it also show the fantastic behinsD the scenes work of Wolves' backroom staff?? Is it luck to avoid injuries or result of good care of players??
Suspect Dean Smith & Steve Brice think it's luck....

Such a hard call this one as both sides will probably rest a few and field a few younger players for experience. I reckon Nuno will blood Otasowie at the back and maybe also Ashley-Seal up top. This game could be anything.

Apparently we are now favourites for this, really not sure about that myself.

Both teams look at 75% strength - could go either way - hope our new lads rise to the occasion - if Cutrone going, who is lined up to replace - would love to know. Can't think of many UK based forwards I would either want or who would likely come - but the world is a big place nowadays, and we should be able to attract them from anywhere. Was Cutrone homesick or just too crap for Nuno?

I hope they have something in the bank if they have let Cutrone go. I suppose home advantage gives us the edge but who knows.

I hope the occasion and Nuno will get BAS moving as whenever I've seen him, he's had the off the ball movement of a phonebox.

Only look like scoring from one of Neto's surprisingly good corners, hopefully Raul will make a difference.

How could Doherty miss that. The better team and Neto the best player on the pitch, looks like he will be some player.

If I was a neutral I would have switched off half time. We were poor today and now we have another game to add to the fixture list. Neto looks a prospect and his confidence seems to be growing. If the three subs had been on from the start they would have been dead and buried by half time.

Poor quality match, but if we had put Jimenez and Moutinho on from the start we could have spared us the extra game.
BAS - as immobile as I feared, just a big lad for his age group. Thelwell's 5000 dossiers leading to the Italian Andy Keogh has left us with no cover at all now. Vinagre - absolutely hopeless. Dendoncker - worked hard on continuing his run of gifting the opposition goals every time he's on the field, VAR surprisingly not playing ball this time.
Ruddy thankfully spared any shots to see if he could continue his ratio of letting in 70% of all shots he has to deal with. Neto did well again but tired badly in the last 20 mins. Kilman & Saiss with the type of mistimed challenges we normally moan about from the opposition. Doherty - committed the criminal sin of closing his eyes on the header. Coady probably the best of the usual bunch. Maguire had Traore's number.

We weren't great and it was a game scarce on quality from either side. Let's face it, the FA Cup is dying on it's arse and nobody in the top two divisions of English football give it any respect anymore unless they happen to reach the later rounds.
But to put yesterday into context, we rested half of our first team and still came away disappointed that we've 'only' got a draw against one of the biggest clubs and biggest budgets in the world.
That said, I'd really be worried if anything happened to Patricio.

You can criticise the bloke as much as you like but I will defend him when I think you are being unfair. You used the word abysmal for a previous game and this time you have said useless. Again I think you are being unfair. He certainly didn't have a great game yesterday by any means but in my opinion he did cause their defence a few problems particularly in linking up with Doherty in the second half and I don't think he was useless. I agree with Shropswolf about Neto. He looked good for an hour but I thought he was a liability in the last 15-20 minutes.
