Two clubs rich in working class history in a fixture that's traditionally open and entertaining.
Lets hope for a cracker.
Forecast
Wolves 4 Newcastle 2.

It's about time we won this fixture. I think the brilliant cup game under Jones is the only time we've turned them over at Molineux since Andy Mutch's one and only hat trick did for Keegan's side.
We need three points in any case after the thrill of the City win turned into 0 points from 6 and a tame cup effort. With their injury list we must be surely be favourites.. which unfortunately doesn't bode well. Come on Wolves, let's see us get to grips with these lower midtable sides.

A good win given they stormed the division that season (and finished top 4 in the PL straight after).

I do worry that Andy Carroll will cause us big problems in the air if he plays. Shelvey is out which is good for us but this is another team that will be hard to break down and they'll have plenty of men behind the ball. Need an early goal to unsettle them and kick on if possible.

Nice to see we haven't dreamt up any New Year resolutions, like not going behind to an early goal. FFS.

Usual pathetic start with absolutely no tempo to the play from the get-go. Neves and Doherty were having their own competition of how many times they could pass the ball to Newcastle. Both have been poor all half long.
Neto luckless, too many double deflections, miscontrols and indecision when quick thinking is required.
Too little on target as ever. Our goal was something of a fluke. Jimenez MUST score that chance, another unconvincing header a la Doherty last week.
Massive improvement needed 2nd half now and no options off the bench. Thelwell probably in the stand browsing his 5,000 dossiers of players worse than Ashley-Seal.

Bit of a scrappy game to be fair.... either team can win it....if Newcastle can keep 11 players on the field ...

Are you basing your opinion of Ashley Seal on that one first half performance against Man United?

Mid-table finish this year for us unless Mendes rides to the rescue. Thelwell has really let Nuno down.

That second half was like watching a circumcision.
