Bit of an embarrassing confession here, I did absolutely terrible in school, not that I didn't have the ability, it's just I was lazy as all hell. I'm 28 now, and do feel my qualifications and what not are holding me back. I want to start small and go to get my GCSE's in English, Maths and Science, but I don't know where to begin.
Does anyone know where I should begin?

Does anyone know where I should begin? Try www.fundingeducation.co.uk. Why pay ?

I think if you want to receive funding, you have to be a low income earner and commit to a course worth at least the equivalent of 5 GCSE's. You can do GCSE's through most local colleges by evening class but you will have to pay. Maybe just a couple to begin with perhaps, requiring a couple of hours each at an evening class plus work at home. An alternative is to enrol for a subject (or more) via on line learning which gives you flexibility to work at your own times at home but probably requires a lot of discipline to keep focused.
I wish you all the best.

Good luck to any person who tries to educate themselves further.
There was a lovely moment on a radio phone in yesterday when a younger brother phoned in and said.
I'm so proud of my older brother, he just gained a 2-1 at university.
He said, They told my family he would never speak, never be able to hold a conversation, never do the most basic of things,
My brother is Autistic.
