I hate open loops.

I seem to recall you once said you had signed up for Virgin Media? How do you get your TV and how do you get your Internet - from the same supplier? If from the same supplier are both tv and internet connected to the same box?

useful thread

i keep being nagged to get apple tv but am reluctant to because there's probably something cheaper (and perhaps even better) that does the same job but for a fraction of the cost

someone mentioned chromecast to me but i'd forgotten all about it - looks absolutely ideal and currently only £18 (with 90 days free google tv whatever that may be) - it even comes with something to extend the cable as my hdmi and usb might not be very close together on the tv

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00I ... ROKL5A1OLE

gonna order one tonight

it's not my bargain of the week though, not by a long shot - got a massive bag of new potatoes for a quid the other day but i can still top that

my corner shop has a new 20p bin ('new' means full of old crap of course) - 2 tins of john west salmon (they're a pisstake price in supermarkets now - tuna as well), 4 cadbury's chocolate bars and a packet of 8 popadoms for £1.40

ya cor bate a bargin :D
