On what basis do you say that?

Because he did nothing for the trance scene :D He hasn't done anything of note for dance music as a whole and I wouldn't label his music as trance anyway.

I should know, I was a gurning chimp dancing in one spot all night for many years :P

But Trance ain't Dance is it, it is folk standing around high on 'E' moving a limb every now and again.

I listened to that album and thought it sounded a bit Trance/Chill or whatever and the rest of the stuff about him being the pioneer of Trance, I found on WIKI or something similar from Tinternet.

Any road, you missed the best part of your musical education: -

Trance is dance music, which type of trance were you referring to anyway? Uplifting, balaeric, deep, progressive, psy, tech, goa? :D

Edit: I think I hit the wrong button mate and edited your post instead of simply replying, still not used to these new fangled Mod buttons, sorry mate

How stupid and annoying is that - happens to me all of the time, some innocent BBC clip that I cannot watch because I am not in the UK, but never suspected that the tables would be turned. (pun intended).

Anyway, it was a four minute clip about Northern Soul.

Had a bit of time to myself yesterday and placed an old Kenny G CD into the NAD. Quite enjoyed it this listening as I did the first time I heard it and before every supermarket up and down the country played it too death.

Gone back to Hunky Dory.

For the "Yute" who've never heard 'The Bewlay Brothers", you don't know what you're missing

Sound like a cross between Nirvana and The Lemonheads. Grunge-tastic.

You upset The Wench Gingo? A lovely song, from a great musical era, my teenage years...sigh...

Roddy Frame and co did a few good choons, and they were in a similar envelope to Prefab Sprout:

Not me. Sent it to a lovely lady who I taught through the training school, who's husband has done a runner stating cultural problems. He being a PE teacher and an African American, she being an incredibly intelligent, beautiful Chinese lady. He will live to regret it.

Some of the "Yute" on here will never have heard our Roddy. They deserve (being Wolves supporters) the chance.

It's funny how music matches your moods, and you obviously like a good dose of soul, which aint three bad.

Back to the 80s, and this choon was up there with best, a decade which had so many different styles, sound and visual, as The UK moved into a new era...
