They're dickless (oh, no they're not), but they ain't got any balls.

To be honest, they remind me of our Nepalese Gurkhas, (they have big balls by all accounts), but fight fearlessly for a foreign Queen and Masters.

Yep. I doubt all three survive. It would be too easy. However, there are some that believe that there is an ice dragon frozen in The Wall, awaiting to be awoken by the Horn of Joramun or the Night King. And some think that Bran will warg into a dragon at some point.

Where do you get this from as rightly or wrongly, I am of the understanding that...
this season is not based on any chapters from a book as that final book has not been
written yet :?:

I believe the storylines are still approved by GRRM, could be wrong but I'm sure I read that somewhere...

I've seen a few posters online which hint to those things too, not sure if they're genuine or fan made though.

Those posters are fan art. Definitely not official stuff.

I'm a bit gutted the sand snakes were just left to die off screen though. Think they deserved an onscreen death not just be locked away never to be seen again

Dorne received the worst treatment from the show when comparing storylines from the book to the show. Prince Doran and the sand sisters were some of my favorite characters in the books. All shafted in the show.

I like the idea of the storyline in the books, but it didn't interest. I think my perception of them was already overly negative because of their portrayal in the show (I didn't read the books until last year). I do think they were done an injustice though, it's a shame they had to sacrifice that part of their story.

Dany's entrance with Drogon has to be one of the best moments I've ever seen on GoT, absolutely incredible. It was like two TV shows meeting and Jaime's face was a picture!

It was a great battle scene. But when it came down to it, I was rooting for Bronn over Drogon. Luckily they both survived. For now.

It was also one of the first times in the series where characters clash and you want neither of them to win or lose. Bronn is my favorite character. I was 99% sure he was fucked this episode because I knew the battle was coming and his character does not alter the main storyline in any way. He's expendable for the show. I like Jaime quite a bit too. And Drogon is awesome. Dany can be obnoxious at times, but she's a great character and I want her to succeed.

Sitting watching the show, hoping my boy Bronn doesn't become a Bronn-burger for Drogon, while also hoping he doesn't kill the dragon. And then watching Jaime charge, hoping he doesn't get burnt but also hoping he doesn't kill the dragon.

Difficult to pull off in a show IMO. But they made all parties happy by letting all the main guys survive.

For now! I'm not emotionally ready for another Red Wedding type cull of the main characters.

Me too. I hope the rest of the series isn`t an anti-climax after this episode. It will be interesting to see how Jaime get`s out of the drink.

Couple takeaways:

How do none of the "Magnificent Seven" realize how stupid their plan is? Go beyond the wall to snatch a wight? Do you think you'll be able to corner one or two?

And even if you are able to snag one and bring it down to King's Landing, and even if Cersei believes you, she isn't going to help you defeat them. She'll let you and Dany fight up there on your own and dwindle your armies.

There is almost no upside to this venture.

Also hope that Arya knows that Littlefinger knows she's following him. So she can outsmart him. I have to think that's the case because she couldn't be stupid enough to believe Sansa sincerely meant the words of a letter she wrote from King's Landing after Ned was imprisoned.

Davos isn't going. He's useless in battle as he stated many times over the years. Thor is is going beyond the wall.

I don't see how 2-3 of them don't die. I think Jon, The Hound, and Gendry are safe. The others....?

Ahh my mistake! But still, I honestly can't think of any who I would be happy to lose. It's pointless bringing back Gendry for the sake of it, I think he's going to be pretty important (plus he needs to see Ayra again!!) Jorah went through all that grayscale stuff, just to be killed off? I'll be pissed if so, it's a waste of Sam's storyline and Dany needs him. Jon can't die, he just can't. The Hound, Brienne and Ayra reunion - it must happen!!! And Tormond's flirting with 'the big woman' has been gold. Thoros is the only one I don't really care about! I could take losing Tormond, but no one else please!

It`s Game of Thrones, anyone could die. I hope Bron has had the good sense to get out of town. Cercei will be gunning for him.

I'm hoping that Ayra kills him and takes his face so the Knights of the Vale stay faithful to Jon. She needs to do something because not enjoying her storyline at the moment, the conflict between her and Sansa is tiresome, and Ayra has turned from a bad-ass to a creepy phsyco.

I cannot recall seeing or understand HOW the King in the North is going North of the Wall hunting for White Walkers WITHOUT stopping for a BBQ and a BEER in Winterfelt. I want to see/know what the 3 eyed raven is going to tell him!

BTW - Winter is coming.
