This programme went out last night, very, very interesting indeed and well worth watching for a new perspective on that date of 7/12/1941. I had read a book on this topic about three years ago and was left wondering...and then this TV programme kind of confirmed everything after new evidence was found in previously unreleased documents. Frightening stuff to take in. Do try and watch it on catch up or whatever and see what you think.

Can't speak for the UK, but over here it is just mind boggling what the intelligence community is allowed to hide. I fear for transparency in the future because of Trump, but also because Obama came down hard on whistleblowers. There were so many intelligence abuses back when the FBI and CIA first started, I can't imagine the abuses now.

In a nutshell, what was/were the issues?

Roosevelt and his Intelligence knew of the upcoming attack on Pearl Harbour but did not pass this on to the Admirals there, he said some time before that he could not justifiably drag the USA into a World War unless it was attacked first by an aggressor. It was also said that Churchill knew this too and was desperate to get the USA into the war with us. Thousands died there because of this.....

Blimey!

It's all news to me but I'm not in the least bit surprised.

Cheers G/B, interesting stuff.
