I went to see this last night at the Grand and I have to say it was fantastic and well worth a ticket. In fact I would goo and see it again tonight.
I thought that Frankie Valli's music might be age specific, but it was far far from that. His story was interesting and the cast magnificent but the music was the star of the show, brilliant.

I'm surprised you don't remember "The Night" being touted as a "Northern Soul" hit at Bilston Baths.

I remember The Night very well and I do indeed consider it to be Northern, however, it was one of the very few hits that did not appear in the show?
The closest thing to it was "Who loves you" itself a brilliant and timeless song, which according to the show,no one would publish at the time?

I went to the Wednesday show. I`m not a big 4 seasons fan but the missus wanted to see it. I thought it was absolutely brilliant. A clever storyline and an excellent cast. After a half time snifter we were going back in when we spotted a notice " tonight Frankie Valli is being played by the understudy, so and so". Bloody hell, if he was the understudy I don`t know how good the main mon was.

A few months back we went to see the Carole King Story, that was poor. A skimpy storyline and an average cast. The girl playing CK was especially poor imo. Bloody dear game though going to the theatre ay it?

If you like the jersey boys then check out a friend of mine called Stephen James. He does a full Frankie valli tribute act and is also the lead of a stage show called let’s hang on. Very very good entertainer and well worth looking out for.
