So you should find her details on ancestry.com.. After that, you should have her married name.. Maybe even an address?? Then you can start the search again..

Thank you Cob! maybe if the records at bushbury crem could be visited her mom's name would be there about 1954 she[or her ashes] are interred there.Do not know her mom's first name but Cumming [s] is the surname, dad's was gerry[gerald?] Heather went to northicote as i did she left there about 60/61/62. This could make a wonderful search

Commended Works I was always a bit of a joker (still am,it must be my sagittarian ways). We used to get commended works for anything good we did in a class/lesson and conduct marks for anything bad.In my final year i decided to go for the prize for the best in class (we got a book or something) and from memory got about 15 or 16 commended works (they used to keep a big board outside the assembly hall with weekly updates).Unfortunately i got about 12 or 13 conduct marks which offset my good results to a total of two or three.Again no award "Drats" Replied more than a year ago Gym day As you all know we were a co-ed school, and two classes joined together fo PE. boys in one sport girls in another. One morning the lads were being there normal selves but obviously a little louder, some even shouting(bad boys), in came Mr Green and asked who was causing all the ruckus. No answer was forthcoming,"OK boys"said Mr Green, "As you leave the changing room in single file to run into the gym, will each of you touch your toes." We did this, and with much gusto, and i believe enjoyment,he proceeded to give everyone of us the slipper, now in those days gym shorts were made of the thinnest cotton and worn with nothing underneath,i can assure you we all had the "Umbro" trademark (from the pump he used) deeply imprinted on our backsides Those were the days!!! Replied more than a year ago Heather Jane Cummings In my eyes the prettiest girl that ever went to Northicote,(apologies to all you other girls/ladies,but you know what schoolday crushes were like) we became good friends, and i can still feel the heart beat faster while typing this and thinking of her. I can remember some four years after leaving school wanting to marry her,and sat up all night playing her dad "Gerry" at chess, but really wanting to ask for her hand,I chickened out, "sorry Heather." I went on to finish my apprenticeship at Hobsons then joined the Royal Navy, before emigrating to australia in 1974,still here.Anyone Know what happened to "my" girl? Replied more than a year ago All mine moscow

Well Vic, these are all of the Cummings that I can find trace of between 1938 and 1952 born in the West Midlands. Problem is that there are two databases, West Midlands and Staffordshire, but neither throw up a Heather Jane Cummings. That Ancestry Com has her, but won't show all the details without payment.

I might go and give her door a knock Vic, or use my, erm, tracking skills.
You had better watch out if she tells me that you gave her The Crabs back in the day or summat.

Well it seems like you tried Squeak.
Perhaps you missed your chance that night you played chess with Gerry but would she still need you, would she still feed you, now she's 64.

Bringing this forward as A. I'm wondering how Vic (Squeak) is doing after his stroke and I notice that he still makes his Predictions in one long sentence without spaces and B. whether Rozza or anyone else knocked on any doors and found his long lost girlfriend? Hey, he is one of us, always positive and WE owe him that much. I can't do any more via the Internet, but 'some' of you local folk perhaps could? Xmas Present for Vic?
