Surely the writing is on the wall for Anderson
I guess he wants to end his test career this summer in England, he needs 16 for 600

But it's a team game, and if we lose a bowler through 'breakdown' on a regular basis, time for the bar and TV punditry. There is a huge gap to fill after Bob. Jimmy can be almost as miserable on the screen, albeit nowhere near as knowledgable.

Broad is a better bowler now than he was 5 years ago. He deserves to get 500 but I fear the weather may not allow it this week.

I switched off at 117-5 and viewed two hours of horse racing, then switched back expecting us to have been bowled out and well, the rest as they say, is history..

5 down. Two batsmen in taking necessary, but dangerous risks to get the score moving before the second new-ball. Take wickets young men ? Load your slips and bring in the close fielders? Encourage the risky shot, knowing that the odd Jaffa ,or edge is sure to come ? Errr no. Go into your shell. Have young incredibly talented fast bowlers, look as miserable as sin and bowling almost defensively .
After the loss, have all your old greats of the game line up to blame the inexperienced skip on the telly, when your management bench is stacked with fantastic talent and the experience needed to direct and win.
Anyone see them checking their betting slips ?

And wonderful that it was a 'real' wicket - the Pakistani captain (and best batsman) caught by our own captain. So much more rewarding than a 'caught on the boundary by a slogging No 10'.
Great too that the commentator at the time was the finest fast bowler I have EVER seen - the wondrously mellifluous Michael Holding!

Jimmy will play until 40, can guarantee it.
Funnily enough, he has needed approx 1500 less balls bowled to get to 600 wickets than Shane Warne. Even more impressive, in my opinion, is Murali only needed an over less. You know, the guy who had to have a rule changed to suit his bowling action? I've never agreed with Murali's action, and always saw it as a form of cheating, but to see that Anderson got their nearly neck and neck with someone who had an unfair advantage, just goes to show that he's the GOAT.

Agree with Murali's bowling action, deffo a thrower. Also suspected that Malinga was chucking it too.

There is no way that action should be legal. It boils my broth to know that there was a rule changed for Murali. If he can't bowl within the rules, he shouldn't be bowling at all.
