God

Thought he was guilty of match fixing in the Eygypt v Israel Red Sea race.

No you're getting confused, the game you're on about was to do with Egypts new overseas manager Mickas Mcarethias and him fielding a weakened side against Israel because they had a bigger game against Jordan a few days later.
God was found not guilty after an opposition side lost 10-0 and were found to be pissed out of their heads. He was accused of turning their water bottles into wine but the case couldn't be proved.

David Millar. Held his hands up in 2004 and admitted to taking performance enhancing drugs and served his ban without fuss or rancour. Considered quitting but made a quiet comeback. In the last month he has won world championship silver and commonwealth gold and bronze. Does a lot of good work warning younger riders off drugs.

Sorry I am new on here. I do not know how to reply with a quote, but yes, I remembered the best centre half Wolves have had in the last forty years. So sad to see him in a wheelchair now.

Is Bradman the greatest sportsperson of all time? 99.94 is a number that will be forever known to all cricket fans. His average is nearly half as good again as his nearest competitor. No other sportsperson in history has blown away the entire field like this

I must agree, I do wish I had seen the Don play. Slightly off topic, In the early seventies I worked with Eric Hollies, who got Bradman out for a duck, and prevented him averaging over a hundred. He actually felt quite guilty about it.

Yes. It is sad and he was definitely a fine centre half.

My Grandad always used to tell me that Wally Hammond was the greatest cricketer he ever saw, and he saw them all from Hobbs to Bradman to Sobers.

As an all-round sportsman, max woosnam will be tough to beat

As you say, for that incredible record the don has gotta be up there

Reading through this I'm a bit surprised Sachin is rated so highly, although i suppose i shouldnt be - I always thought Lara was a class above the rest of his generation - I dont even think Sachin is the best Indian batter of the last 20 years, in a straight choice I'd pick Dravid very time
