Let me ask you all this:

Is what Kevin Pietersen texted particularly worse than what Graeme Swann wrote about KP in his autobiography? Bare in mind that KP's texts were private and to a friend, whereas Swanny's book was released for the world to see

Fair point in isolation, but you're missing the "team" dynamic. The majority think he's a £$£@@@@

So it appears that Pietersen has apologised and may be added to squad for India. He may be a very good player, but I think he should have been left out until next summer. He has got off very lightly.

This isn't necessarily totally his fault

KP is signing a new central contract.
Apologised to everyone.
Has to undergo a period or re-intigration.
Whatever that is I hope it hurts.

Doesn't really matter who's fault, fact remains you will never have a team on the field that performs to their full potential, if they are not a team in the changing room.

I think with sports like rugby and football, you've probably got a point. But cricket is such an individual sport in a team dynamic that I think it's easier to get away with. There's loads of stories down the years of teammates who don't get on, but manage to put it aside for the team

The end..

KP is for me the greatest batsman, to play for England, certainly in my lifetime.

Thanks :clap2

Agree with this. His Mumbai century is probably the best I've seen from an England batsman

Strauss told BBC Radio 5 live's Tuffers & Vaughan Show tonight, there were "differences" between them but called his former team-mate a "magnificent" player.

"It is the time to accept what he did in an England shirt," he said.

"He was a magnificent player, the best England player I played with and an unbelievable talent.

..I hope he chokes on those words

Also the way he played Warne. Outstanding. Whoever decided he should become captain thought, wtf were they thinking
